Yeah math got real when he said "if you love battle rap it's not about the money" and I agree. I also found it interesting that the people at Hot 97 weren't THAT familiar with battle rap. Sometimes I forget people ain't tuned into battle rap like rap songs, it's still sorta niche of a community.
When you're poor and broke, desperate and all, it's easy to just concentrate on 'getting' money. There's more to life than money, but the black community has still a long way to go to overcome that fact.
