Good video but can you show the best way to put the hardened beads in a missing tooth gap? I always have extra or not enough, also it is sometimes hard to not get fingerprints on the soft beads that you mold into your teeth spaces please? Thank you in advance!
Yeah, I got em on Amazon, I'm molding them while watching this video. My only question, is human teeth aren't naturally perfect white, when you mold it does it dry even slightly less white then normal?
@@Supernovaartistry somebody on one of these videos mentioned that they heat the beads in water that had a tea bag in it... he said because he does not have white white teeth, he gets a better match this way. Guess it would be trial and error.. but I thought a GREAT idea!!
I’m not missing a whole tooth.. just chipped the bottom front one. How does one make this adhere to the bottom of a tooth. I’ve followed all the steps but it’s not staying on. I’m feeling like I’m missing an adhesive to make it stick.
The material itself is non toxic but I personally don't use it for dental due to choking hazard concern and I've seen many asking how to get it out after which raise concern for future issues.
I'm sorry, I never use it for fixing tooth so I really can't advice on it. You may try slowly pushing it out as it doesn't stick to smooth surface that permanently unless you put it on while it's still very hot... But then again, I'd personally recommend a visit to the dentist for safe removal if you can't seem to remove it on your own.
This stuff is great I use it to make all kinds of parts. Can you tell me how to get a smooth finish on the outside? What is the best way to work it when it has set? Thanks
Hi ivrz, I usually use it to fix things so not really concern about smooth surface the only way I've tried was to use a piece of baking paper and place the melted thermoplastic in between then mold it to shape so the finishing is a bit smoother... Have to work fast though as it sets pretty quickly... I've asked opinion from my friend who sculpt her cosplay items with it and she suggested that it is best to use dremel tools to sand it down after it has set. Sand paper could do also but it's very hard... :) Hope this helps ;)
Thermoplastic are known to be non-toxic... Some people would use it to make fake fangs for cosplay purposes... But of course, I'd personally say be careful not to swallow it tho... ^_^
Hi, I know some people who use it to fill up holes in teeth but you will have problem taking it back out though. I personally still recommend going to a dentist for a safer fix.
Hii~ little question, i have vampire teeth and need to mold it in between my tooth and the fake one, so will it stick to my teeth? And will it stick to my fake teeth?
My apologies, I never tried using thermoplastic on teeth so I can't give advice on this matter... Perhaps you can ask some of the commenters here who've tried making fangs and fake teeth :)
Hi, thermoplastic beads can be used in many ways from fixing, enhancing, crafting, creating. This video is the very basic of hot it works, basically melts into soft shapeable form and hardens when cooled, it's more sticky when melted and gets less sticky as it cools so if you want to stick it to something you need to do it while its melted or glue it down after its cooled. Below is one of the example where I used it to fix my broken cabinet but really you can use it in so many ways imaginable when you get it's basic characteristic. Hope this helps. th-cam.com/video/pKi5fEMv-ow/w-d-xo.html
What brand did you use and how long did it take to melt fully? I have polymorph beads and I've tried melting them on the stove and with a hairdryer and it hasn't worked.. The only time it actually melted was when I literally set it on fire.
Woah... Mine is OEM without any brand, it melts with hot boiled water in less than 1 min if it's new beads... If it's molded and remelt then it depends on how big the piece is...
I got some nice slightly pricey and professionally made sfx teeth...unfortunately i had the same issue no matter how hot i got the water it never dissolved like the instructions showed ( also when i looked up the reviews on youtube or online for my specific product on how to use the beads for it...) or in the way this video showed...and yes only fire did anything, i set it on fire because i got mad and frustrated with it not working lmao so i've been trying to find out if i needed another brand or if i need to find some alternative for them... 😂🤣

You can melt thermoplastic in boiling hot water till it becomes liquid form and pour it in... How big is the toy? The thermoplastic may start hardening before u manage to fill it all up if its big and might leave empty spaces here n there though. If it needs to be 100% filled up then might not be so good since if you start putting it in you cant get it back out 😅
How hot does the water need to be, because im doing it and it wont melt. Maybe im just impatient, about how long do you think it takes to melt into the transparent color?
The water needs to be over 85°C and it should start melting within 1 minute, but to be fully melted depends on how much beads and how big the piece is.
Thanks ^_^ I don't think you can use it for casting mold though... You'd probably need something in liquid form and even when thermoplastic is soften it's still not in liquid form ya...
I have a missing bottom tooth. It doesn't bother as much as someone would think it would. I've been missing it for about 4 years. I'm now looking into this beads and I've actually just placed an order about 10 minutes ago. Go ahead and smile. The gap you have gives personality to anyone who has one. Many people wish for a gap but no one wishes for a missing tooth...lol.
Mine is nearly 9 years old and still working OK. Perhaps quality difference or the material is different? May be you can try putting the brittle ones in hot water and see if it melts and cool down into a new piece...

Hi there... My apologies that I do not have the knowledge to advice you on your questions. For dental I think its best to refer to those who has experience on it.
With hot water (85degree and above) new beads usually melt within 1 min. If you're remelting used ones then it depends on how big is the piece you want to melt.
@anitagurule8455 You'd need to melt it bit by bit. But if you used it for dental I suggest that you seek help from a dentist since you can't melt them in your mouth 😅
It turns solid hard when its cooled down, so in room temperature it will stay in the same solid state. I've tried leaving it in a hot car under the sun and it still stays the same. Melting point is at about 80c and above.
Hi, the melting point is usually 80c and above so hot tea shouldn't be hot enough to melt it. But I personally dont use it for dental, only for fixing household items and crafts.
Hot water above 85°c should be able to melt it. Usually I just boil the water and pour it into a cup with the beads in it 😊 Remember to use a skewer to pick it up.
@eshita8thc437 That really depends on what you want to use it for. The video shows the basic characteristics of the product. I personally use it to fix certain things and mold it to certain shape to enhance items like a handle or grip. If you're planning on using it for dental I personally do not recommend due to choking hazard if not done properly and also I've read many had problem removing it after.
Thermoplastic melts at 85°C and above so basically it would burn the mouth before it melts the thermoplastic. But personally I do not use it nor recommend it for dental fixtures.
Great help Iv got the pink ones coming going to do this way But I’m told it’s Ment for a injection mold ?? Iv done my first set with cold cure and came out great but feel too hard so going to try this
Glad you find it helpful 😄 I read that polyplastic can be used for injection mold but may be they have higher temperature melting in the industrial level I'm not so sure. 😅

i have fake teeth from trick or treat studios bitemares and the thermoplastic beads are not helping the teeth stay in my mouth. any suggestions?
Apologies, I don't personally use them for oral fixtures so I can't give any advice on it.
@@FeltLikeHome oh okay. thank you though!
@@Pimpdoggy Most welcome 😊
How do you apply it to the tooth?
Sorry, I don't personally use these for dental fixtures.
How to order in Maharashtra India and which price
is it possible to permanently color these?
Yes. I think there are colour pigments that you can add to the thermoplastic to make it into colored
Did you add anything to the water?
Nope, its just plain hot water 😊
ये कहाँ मिलेगा कृपया बताएँ
Am i supost to boil it or relly hot water i need to know
Hot water above 85°c should be able to melt it. Usually I just boil the water and pour it into a cup with the beads in it 😊 Remember to use a skewer to pick it up.
You woundn't us that we can buy it or not if yes tell us its pros and cons
I don't quite understand what you mean... 😅
@@FeltLikeHome I mean we buy it or not
@eshita8thc437 That really depends on what you want to use it for. The video shows the basic characteristics of the product. I personally use it to fix certain things and mold it to certain shape to enhance items like a handle or grip. If you're planning on using it for dental I personally do not recommend due to choking hazard if not done properly and also I've read many had problem removing it after.
@@FeltLikeHome fine 🙂 👍
@FeltLikeHome ok dude 👍 thank u for replying
Garam khana ya pani pine se ye nikl jayege ?
Thermoplastic melts at 85°C and above so basically it would burn the mouth before it melts the thermoplastic. But personally I do not use it nor recommend it for dental fixtures.
Great help Iv got the pink ones coming going to do this way
But I’m told it’s Ment for a injection mold ??
Iv done my first set with cold cure and came out great but feel too hard so going to try this
Glad you find it helpful 😄 I read that polyplastic can be used for injection mold but may be they have higher temperature melting in the industrial level I'm not so sure. 😅
@@FeltLikeHome I tried doing kettle water in a bowl to get them to melt but never worked My cold cure worked better
@@garydeandeery Cold cure huh? May I ask what kind of thermoplastic are you using? So far I only know thermoplastic that melt by heat...
@@FeltLikeHome Iv tried the pink powder cold cure with the acrylic fluid but you have to be fast coz goes off fast when Iv my stone cast I put lip gloss on so don’t stick mix the cold cure till like Play dough then roll it like a sausage then push on my cast get the best shape fast and even thickness then add the teeth set push in a little by now it will get warm and hard so use the fluid with small paint brush and go round the base not the teeth. Then mix another mix use the fluid like a primer and shape around the tooth edges I got a hand nail set to cut and smooth all over. Then few hours later use a dremil sand drum go all over it make level shape the top back so you don’t gag then wet/dry sand paper all over till feels smooth test fit all the time it came out that good I didn’t need dental gum lol still after few days you will feel any area that rubs so just keep sanding Iv made a few sets now first was in to far and angle down so had to do a set so at the front and straight have a ruler to lay over to get flat and straight Iv had mine good few months now
I tried the pink beads but couldn’t melt them I did hot water no good then boil on the cooker so no good but got told use the microwave put in a bowl with kettle water and heat up till see it melt Iv not done it yet
@@FeltLikeHome few pictures on that link
Can I use it as teeth guard at night for stopping grinding
It's doable, but I personally do not recommend using it for dental
@@FeltLikeHome thank you so much ❤️, I thought u might not reply
@samrose7296 No probs 😊 I do try my best to attend to the comments 😄
@@FeltLikeHome ❤️
Can you eat with it?
What is the name of the product?
Thermoplastic 😊
Do you know which brand thermoplastic is best or are they all the same? There are so many brands now, if they all perform the same then I will just buy the cheapest in bulk. Thanks a million.
Hi there~ I'm using an unbranded OEM beads and they works just fine for me ^_^
Re they safe to use? That is, free of toxic chemicals?
Do you apply them inside of the gums of the teeth
Hi there... I personally don't use them for dental so my apologies that I can't advise on that 😅
What chemistry of plastic is this?
Erm... sorry... I'm not good in chemistry 😅
@@FeltLikeHome Do you think it might be polycaprolactone?
