      Good video but can you show the best way to put the hardened beads in a missing tooth gap? I always have extra or not enough, also it is sometimes hard to not get fingerprints on the soft beads that you mold into your teeth spaces please? Thank you in advance!

    • @FeltLikeHome
      @FeltLikeHome  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm sorry, I never use it for fixing tooth so I really can't advice on it. You may try slowly pushing it out as it doesn't stick to smooth surface that permanently unless you put it on while it's still very hot... But then again, I'd personally recommend a visit to the dentist for safe removal if you can't seem to remove it on your own.

    • @FeltLikeHome
      @FeltLikeHome  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hi ivrz, I usually use it to fix things so not really concern about smooth surface the only way I've tried was to use a piece of baking paper and place the melted thermoplastic in between then mold it to shape so the finishing is a bit smoother... Have to work fast though as it sets pretty quickly... I've asked opinion from my friend who sculpt her cosplay items with it and she suggested that it is best to use dremel tools to sand it down after it has set. Sand paper could do also but it's very hard... :) Hope this helps ;)

    Don't understand this video, what do you use these beads for and how to apply?

    • @FeltLikeHome
      @FeltLikeHome  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, thermoplastic beads can be used in many ways from fixing, enhancing, crafting, creating. This video is the very basic of hot it works, basically melts into soft shapeable form and hardens when cooled, it's more sticky when melted and gets less sticky as it cools so if you want to stick it to something you need to do it while its melted or glue it down after its cooled.
      Below is one of the example where I used it to fix my broken cabinet but really you can use it in so many ways imaginable when you get it's basic characteristic. Hope this helps.

    What brand did you use and how long did it take to melt fully? I have polymorph beads and I've tried melting them on the stove and with a hairdryer and it hasn't worked.. The only time it actually melted was when I literally set it on fire.

    • @FeltLikeHome
      @FeltLikeHome  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Woah... Mine is OEM without any brand, it melts with hot boiled water in less than 1 min if it's new beads... If it's molded and remelt then it depends on how big the piece is...

The thermoplastic may start hardening before u manage to fill it all up if its big and might leave empty spaces here n there though. If it needs to be 100% filled up then might not be so good since if you start putting it in you cant get it back out 😅
