I fasted for 3 and a half days. The longest ever for me. That was about a week ago. Since then I've been only eating one meal a day. I'm trying to fast again. It truly takes a combination of fear, desire, will power, and determination.

I remember years ago, I would fast and pray & study and meditate , and one Sunday I felt the anointing come over my head and spoke the word in the Spirit of the Anointing, and a shock wave went through our church,.....it’s been years ago but I’ve always long to be in that moment again but never came close , I could fell it, but not experience it coming over my head and through me....anyone who has experienced this knows exactly what I’m talking about..... the one thing that I have neglected to do is fast!!! Thank you Lord for bringing this back to my remembrance!

Me too, it would often wake my husband up because he thought I was have a seizure, it feels like an electrical charge going through your body . It doesn’t hurt, it actually feels like tingling all over

Deborah Abi Bako Daniel fast from Daniel Chapter 1, is where you eat only fruit,veggies, nuts, beans, water. No fried foods. Many churches do this now to encourage more people to fast. Some make leadership do the total no food fasting and the congregation does the Daniel.

My name is William, and I live in New York. I've watched a few of your videos and I really enjoyed them. As I watched this video most of it's correct however I ask that you reread Matthew 17 with emphasis on verses 20-21. What it says about fasting making it easier to discern God is true. Please read those verses in the King James or the New King James and I think you'll catch the mistake. Peace and blessings.

I have a question, are you suggesting a 21 day fast with no food, no intake of anything, only water? For 21 days straight? Anyone can answer this question, I actually struggle with fasting as well but I also have had some success with it. The longest I've went was 10 days. But I still ate something.
You can do a sunset one, where you fast throughout the day, and eat one meal after sunset or you can 3days water or a Daniel fast, but ask God to show you the way

Prepare your body first. Don't eat too much the day before. Decide and commit to your desired number of days. As you fast, drink plenty of water to keep you hydrated. Read the Bible. Pray a lot. (Use your meal time for prayer time). Seek God. The more you seek Him, the more you will love Him. Enjoy His Presence. God bless you.
TH-cam Myles Munroe fasting. He has great videos on what the body, mind, and spirit goes through. After watching those videos I fast 4 times a year 21 days each. You’re Blessed! You can do all things with Christ that strengthen you! Everything is possible with God!

Sarah that would be intermediate fasting. Continue to do it until you get your parents permission, you want to honor your father and mother but you want to please God more. Get more information on fasting. I watched a lot of Myles Munroe videos on TH-cam to give me information. I learned the body can go 40 days without food and you’re mostly breaking habits you’ve formed, but the growth in your Spiritual life is truly priceless. Let your parents know you want to please God. It’s tough to do what God wants and what the Bible says sometimes. I’m 40 years old and my mom smacked me on the back of the head for fasting. I had to tell her what the Bible said and what Jesus said we should be doing and fasting is apart of The Kingdom culture not all people that say they believe in God trust in God and the Bible enough to sacrifice their flesh and truly do what it takes to get closer to God. Keep reading the Bible, praying, and fasting Jesus said this is what we should be doing. Myles Munroe teaching are great a have help me grow tremendously. How do you normally do your fast? Do you do the one meal a day? Or do you not eat anything at all for three days straight? Because I just tried doing that and I failed after about the 25th hour

Try! At least try eating only once a day for 1 or 2 weeks. Then eat only once every 2 days, and so on. The first day is usually difficult. Your hunger pangs will force u to eat... but instead, try drink pure water, let water control hunger for the day. Then 2nd day, eat as normal but only once a day, and repeat this for 1 to 2 week, then later eat only once in 2 days and so on. You'd sure find it comfortable after just the first few days of trial. That depends on you and your objectives, what kind of fast are going for. You might want to research various types of fasting. 6am to 6pm, 6am to noon, 24 hours, 72 hours, with liquids or no liquids etc... Just do some more search on that!

Then the kind of liquid you take during this season is important.
Personally I've never attempted a 40 days at once, so...!
