I really appreciate how knowledgeable she is on posing plus size. Just the fact that she said “it’s harder to cross legs because thighs are thicker....” YAS HUNTY! Ain’t no cute crossed legs here. So she gave an alternative and that is professionalism at its core.

A lot of shit bothers me ...diet culture . People's obsession with weight loss , saying people with fat on their body are unhealthy and fat. The term plus size never has (shrugs ) interesting

Actually I felt so happy seeing all these tricks, because by continuous shooting of selfie videos and photos, I've already found these tricks by myself, except extending the chin forward. Due to my heavier waist, I usually sit on the edge of the seat when I'm in a public place.. And I love upper angles for close up shots.. I push away my arms from the camera.. Anyway thank you so much.. Really this video made me smile! And made me proud for finding all these tricks by myself.. Really loved your presentation... nicely rendered!

I'm a big fan of Parmita and she gave plenty of good tips but I gotta day the language was a bit disappointing. Asking her if she thought there was room from her among beautiful and skinny women? Uhhh there are tons of curvy youtube bloggers. Such a back handed insult. The all black outfits while shes in color I was disappointed.

If you have to use tricks to look slimmer then either lose weight or be 'true' to yourself!!!!
Just went for family photos 3 months since giving birth to my second child. Still haven’t lost the weight but I don’t tend to look so terrible in photos, so I was excited. I literally left crying. My kids look adorable, but they managed to make me look 3 times my actual size and emphasized my double chin to make it look like a triple. They look less “professional” than what my family takes in candid photos. Real hit to my ego, and I am so embarrassed to show off my photos that I paid a lot of money for. So here I am watching videos like these so this doesn’t happen again

Hand on waist looks way too posed. Just hold a clutch bag in your hand but keep the elbow bend. More natural.

@@blendedtonesable OK, perhaps not every woman uses a purse out in public... we understand that... but this is about posing for a photograph, whereupon the purse is merely a PROP., just as some will use a kerchief or a wide brim hat to divert attention away from problem areas.

Olga is beautiful! She appears to exude confidence from the inside and that is what makes her so visually attractive. Parmita, I know you're not trying to fat shame, but you are actually doing it here. I think it sends a negative message to say things in the video like "all women are beautiful no matter what size they are", but then publish a video labeled "How To Look Slim in Photos/ PLUS SIZE POSING TIPS 2019". It's like saying "you are beautiful regardless of your size, but if you're plus size let us help you look slimmer because it would be better."

This was such a useful video Parmita. I usually shun away from pics because I usually tend to look very obese in them I will definitely try this out. In the first video u had said that if we wear clothes which crunch at the waist with a belt we tend to look less wider but that doesn’t work for me. I have a wider waist and hip than my bust and wearing a belt or a dress which holds at my waist or above makes me look wider, can u tell me what kind of dresses can really help me out with my type of figure

Is it me but, there is low key shade in this video. The way she just kept associating negative to plus size by hiding and how looking thinner is "prettier". The video should be about embracing body positivity. Good hacks but delivery is way off.

I'm a plus size woman and a plus size photographer. I feel a bit troubled by this video. The idea shouldnt be to hit your body size. I would be careful to not speak to your plus size clients like they should be ashamed of their body. A shoot should be about making your model feel beautiful and special. Yes, there are angles that look better on people, that highlight their best features. We've got to remember there is nothing wrong with being fat. We don't need to try to look skinny, thats not our job. Thats like asking a blonde girl to pose to try to look like a redhead. That doesn't make sense. I think it's important to think all bodies are beautiful in portraits, not just slim ones. There's a lot of weight biased projection happening here.

She does nót need a minimizer bra! She and EVERY woman needs to wear a bra in the correct size. Minimizers make you look heavier and plumper as a curvy girl. Most women wear their bras too wide in the under bust size and too small in the cup size. Correct sizing makes such an incredible difference! Also wearing a bra that shapes your boobs in the best way. Otherwise great tips.
Yes! Minimizers equal a flatter and wider cup. I can’t deal with how gross it feels to have boob smooshed against your rib cage and forced under your armpits. A good wired lined shaped smooth cup that lifts out and forward is much more slimming. Strap pads create a smooth shoulder.

Yes, what shape glasses will work for a face shape similar to Olga. I have always had a chubby face, round head like a pumpkin, smaller chin. I only seem to look good in sunglasses. Regular glasses - not.

Yes! Do what you can with what you have, then learn to compensate for what you don't. (Not just physical either, mental things- say not being great at keeping a schedule- are applicable as well.)
