- Today we are painting abstractly again. I have some leftover paint that I want to use up. But I'm using them mainly because I like these natural colours so much. The light blue, an earthy brown and a light sand tone. The composition of the picture is like an abstract landscape. Imagine earth, the beach in front of the horizon and also the sky. The sea appears and a shiny wave just stays on your picture. It always reminds me of holidays. Of tranquillity. That's how I create a certain order out of chaos. In my head, too. Because that's what painting brings you. A moment of peace and contentment. So grab your canvas, you only need a few colours. Blue, white, sienna, dark brown, glossy varnish. I pour this glossy varnish over the canvas. I have written a varnish in the material list, but you can also use the pouring colours if you have them at home anyway. See what you have at home and just add if something is missing.

I love the natural look of the picture. By the way, layering colours is called glazing technique. Look in the book, there's a lot about it. You can also use it to mix the colours visually. Once again, I find this work of art very suitable in a simple, Scandinavian furnished living room, on a narrow wall. But it can also take a nice place in the bathroom. Just start painting and let go of everything else. Whether with the gold foil of your favourite chocolate or with old discarded calendar sheets. Whether it's painting abstract works of art with a cake server or using a window squeegee. Just know how. If you don't have any acrylic paint, use the colours you have. It doesn't matter. I get a lot of emails asking for materials. So I put the painting materials in the list above.

Guten Morgen, liebe Petra. Vielen Dank für das schöne "Sonntagsbild". Es macht, wie immer, viel Freude, dir bei bei deinem Schaffensprozess zuzuschauen. Mir gefällt bei diesem Bild sehr, dass man die Pinselspuren und die Strukturen der anderen Werkzeuge zum Teil erahnen und zum Teil erkennen kann. Wunderschöne "Farbgeschichten" !

@@Kuenstlerstreich4me oh, klingt aber auch herrlich!!! Ich möchte so gerne auch campen gehen, jedoch müssen wir noch auf unser WOMO warten. Die Lieferung wurde uns erst für's kommende Frühjahr versprochen. Ich kann es kaum mehr erwarten.... was gibt es Schöneres: Velos einpacken und losfahren - mit dabei natürlich eine Kiste mit Malutensilien...:)

Hallo und guten Tag, sehr gute Ideen und Kreation da ich mit Ölfarben male gibt es immer wieder etwas neues zu lernen . Es ist einfach herrlich mit Farben zu arbeiten wo manchmal Bilder entstehen. I was at a big family celebration for the first time in a long time. It was unusual, but also nice. Everyone tested in advance and still one was inhibited. Guten Morgen liebe Petra , viele Grüße aus meiner Reha in Bad Reichenhall. Das Bild hab ich schon vor kurzem in einem Abspann eines anderen Videos gesehen und gefiel mir sehr gut .
Gestern war ich spazieren und wollte in die Kunstakademie hier in Bad Reichenhall , aber wegen Corona ist sie leider nur für Kursteilnehmer geöffnet . Aber ich habe gegenüber ein Geschäft der Firma boesner entdeckt und bin shoppen gegangen . 🤗
Hach wie herrlich war das all die Farben und Pinsel Mal nicht im Katalog anzuschauen sondern real . Ich stand mindestens 10 Minuten staunend vor einem Regal mit Pastellkreiden , wie schön war der Anblick der vielen Farben . Das tut richtig gut für die Seele. Ich werde heute Nachmittag meine Farben nehmen und malen , freu mich schon darauf .

When children are drawing and painting we see them energetically and enthusiastically working with brightly coloured pencils and crayons and splashing paint making expressive marks with brushes and hands... enjoying the experience of expressing themselves... having fun! 🙂
