- Hello Everyone and welcome to Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord join me as we harness the power of the Fian with Robin Hood can we block out the sun?
This is played on realistic settings current version 1.7.1
To help me out in the new beta patch I have also created some custom cavalry units that have randomised equipment from every faction. (mod is on my discord if you want to try it ps. will not be maintained across new patch's)

The easiest way to counter archers is using heavy Vlandian cav. I hope you don't fight them, because it will be a 1-sided massacre.
That's because the game now permanently put them in any village bound to a castle...

Castle bound villages produce their factions' elite/royal units (fian, varyag, cataphract, etc.)

I was going to pay this same tip one full year later just if anyone was looking for noble units ... great job
And if you don’t know what settlement are under a town or castle look at the sigil usually they have different clans and match the sigil in the settlement to the clan tag at the castle
Is no one mentioning how good the thumbnail art is, props to whoever designed it

One day while walking through the forest foraging for mushrooms he came across a cliff. He could hear a strange gurgling noise from inside the rock. Curious, he struck it with his iron tipped staff. When he struck the rock it broke and water gushed out, nearly drowning him. Such was the strength of the torrent of water that he was carried many miles from home. When he awoke he found himself on a riverbank. He then heard the voice again. The voice from his childhood whom his parents chastised him for talking to. The one who told him he had a purpose. The reason for his friendless childhood. It told him that it had brought him here to the land of Calraidia to spread its word and build its following. "What are you?" He asked, afraid. The voice answered slowly at first. "I am the Beginning, I am the End, I. Am. Everything. Believe in me. I shall be your salvation. GO. Find Robin Hood, aide him and bring him to my fold for he shall be my Champion as you shall be my Prophet." But what is your name? Gary mused to himself. But he was lost and alone and became afraid. "Do not be afraid." The voice spoke. "Walk east. I will guide you."

Hey ThreatX! Couple off things... First. U never find noble units in town. (The Batanian archer units are noble...) The recruit oportunities never change in any villages. That's means if one of the local headman doesen't keep Fian/or any other nobles units, He/She doesen't change that. Second. If U choose the "Send troops" option, U need to prepare 2 things. 1. Always U need to prepare yourself some (random) units looses. 2. U loose the oporunities for personal improvements. (As like weapon, athletics/ride, tactics and leadership skills improvements.) If U can do, never choose the "send troops" option. And some other tips. In the trade menu you find 11 types of food. Buy some portion all of these. That dramatically increase your party morale. Allways use all of your armor slots. If you skipp one of them, that's part of your body is unprotected. No damage reduction means you give a chance to one hit kill options to your opponents. (Higher chance to die too, if you allowed the die oportunity in the main options.)
Little introduction for character (from Robin's perspective):
Yesterday, when moving through Battanian forests, we came across a mysterious woman, who was the most beautiful and noble woman we had ever seen. She introduced to us as Amastacia Agarvran, we were certain that such a name was unheard of in whole Calradia but we didn't ask questions. That wasn't only mysterious thing about her, for her ears were long and pointy, another thing unheard of in Calradia. All she said, before asking us to join our party, was that she has travelled across the ocean, further west from Vlandia, from the land unexplored and full of mystery. This was hard to believe and we came to conclusion that with this she was trying to hide her true origin. After so many suspicions, I and other Fians agreed that only after the test we could let her join our ranks, she smiled after hearing that. The results of the test was unbelievable. How can anyone flawlessly hit a target from such a range? Even most veteran and battle hardened Fians were shocked. This could only be possible with decades, no, centuries of experience, but how can anyone achieve this? We couldn't go against our word so we let her join us. Her reason for becoming one of us still remains a mystery, maybe time will help us uncover it.

Yes then! New series! Major hype. I feel like I’m always up for lining up the good old fian champions and just watching on in delight as they tear enemy armies to shreds before my very eyes XD
As for a companion: Garmr (Norse for hound) the Betrayed, Scout/Bow/Axes(thrown, one hand or two hand doesn’t matter)
He’s a character in a story I’ve started writing. A Nordic, so sturgian, born man. There was no greater tracker on the continent, renowned for his exceptional abilities in hunting both beast and man. Employed by the king, he got a job to pursue his target into enemy territory where he was soon subsequently captured by an enemy lord. As a prisoner he learned that he had in fact been used as a scapegoat by the very same man who had hired him (let’s face it, Raganvad would do it) and was scheduled to be executed in a matter of days. In desperation, he managed to escape his cell, sneak out of the enemy camp and wittingly mislead anyone who attempted to follow him. Having fled to a nearby town/village, he found himself at the bottom of a glass in the local tavern falling, spiralling further into the consequences of his misfortune Then, with crippling debt looming, he just so happened to stumble in a man. A wanderer, just like him, in need of a few men.

It’s definitely a Celtic/Gaelic styled helmet but things like dwarves that often is depicted with a helmet like that are associated with the Norse for some reason, when their accents, armor, aesthetic, suggests Celtic inspiration. It’s the horned helms that make people think dwarves are Viking inspired but horned helmets weren’t used by Vikings as most know nowadays. Plus in lotr orcs spoke a Norse inspired language while dwarves used a Semitic one closer related to Hebrew than any Norse/Germanic or Celtic language.
Next series will be all people carrying big two handers and no shield run LOL

Hobin Rood steals from everyone and give to himself
Movement speed is great on your units, you can get 2% here and there up to a sizeable chunk.
Then use your infantry as bait/cav defense, let the enemy infantry get close to yours then send your cav in and move your infantry and archers further back, call your cav back. Rinse and repeat. Works really well if you move the infantry around to the side/behind theirs so they turn to face yours (and get shot in the side/back)

Absolutely love your content but just wanted to say, villages assigned to castles are more likely to have noble troops. I'm sure you knew that but we all want them fians!
I did not actually know that they changed it in one of the 1.6 patch's apparently but damn that is a crazy change why even use normal units

I don’t know if you were aware of that but the noble troop tree is only recrutable in villages bound to a castle.
So you won’t find fian in any city nor in their bound villages.
Oh when did they do that i thought it was based on the notables power rating (then again i got that from when the game came out 2 years ago)
@@ThreatX i don’t know when they changed this but it was always the case for me since i played the game for the first time in may 2021.
I mean there was a issue with notables quests never being done so noble troops vanished from the game so that is why they probably changed it when who know

I'm playing with Bandit Militia to populate the map with stronger bandit spawns. You probably played with that before, but it's very customizable to have incredibly tough banditry.
We will be fine after a few battles bandits are just backdrop XD

You can take looters they will be battanian fians if you play hard level or mode.Or you can change getting troops parametres and you will take troops fastly.
It is actually forest bandits looters randomly turn into imperial soldiers XD
I love archer only, though i almost always end up getting a small group of heavy cav, like 10-15 units top. Just to help run down fleeing troupes lol
Hey could one of your Companion's be called Xarsta(Zar-sta) because the name is from my late uncle's best dnd character and think it would be cool to see him recking again. Side note if you do choose to make him could you please give him a scythe because i think you could forge a scythe as a polearm or you can get a good one any glaive will do.
btw a mod I recommend you get is the equipment upgrade mod which let you auto upgrade your equipment to the best you have (don't know the actual name of the mod although i do know that the reformist uses it and should be able to find it in his mod list)

On the other thing you only upgrade equipment 3-5 times in a playthrough do not think I would need to automate that XD
@@ThreatX Thanks for the condolences and also fair enough although if that mod isn't something you might care for another that might be worth just adding to you list is one the gives infinite stamina for blacksmithing that way it would always be an option to use it instead of just ignoring that part of the game completely, also it's helpful with getting a better two-handed sword then what you could chance across in the stores and random loot form battles because the seem to be really hard to find in the game for some reason.
