L Alba; Though I'm from Detroit, MI, I have the utmost respect 4 Canadian musicians. When the pandemic clears itself, let's party down in Windsor (just u & me, babe).
I saw them twice, too. The last time in Mississauga, I was shocked when he talked about this song a little bit embarrassed by how "pop" it was. If only he knew how many of us were in school and this song was the soundtrack to our very first loves.
This is how ROCK sounded back in the day, & we hit that dance floor running. The signature vocals of MYLES GOODWYN, April Wine & SONGS like this made them the CANADIAN cream of the crop 💖
Jesus, all these years and i find you on here, it's been a long time erica I know but I honestly think I have grown up and would love a second chance, I'll cherish you like no other🥰
I love this song. April Wine will always be my fav Canadian band. I like the Stampeders, BTO, The Guess Who to name three others but April Wine will always be number one with me.
April Wine plus Saga, Colin James, Kim Mitchell, Sass Jordan, Red Rider, Chilliwack, Prism, Trooper, Honeymoon Suite, Bryan Adams, Rush, Triumph, Neil Young.....and more.....Canada Fuckin Rocks
I've been with these guys since the beginning. Of all of the incredible bands I grew up with, April Wine is in my top 3, and #1 switches from day to day. I love this band!!!!
So many memories......remember April Wine was one of my first concerts when I was a kid. It was April Wine and Harlequin and they blew my mind. April Wine, so under-rated. Ahhhhhh, those were the times of quality music. Just love the 70's rock (from progressive - i.e. Genesis/Yes to rock/pop like Elton John, April Wine, BTO, The Guess Who, etc etc..... Miss those days....
Wow I had no idea April Wine was Canadian. I always hear them, Rush and Chilliwack on the radio and had no idea they were all Canadian. I'm so used to hearing American songs I just assume they're also American. Makes me love them even more now!!
Growing up in Montreal in early 70s, where April Wine was based these guys were like The Beatles for me. My 2 brothers, cousin and few neighbourhood friends had a Fat Albert like junkyard band (we were horrible) and we sang a long to many of April Wine's early hits. I had forgotten how many memorable and great sing-a-long songs they did until falling down the TH-cam rabbit hole. Brings back great memories of my youth.
Met the band at the seattle airport in 1979.Flew with them to Billings Mt. Saw the show and got to go backstage to hang out with them after their show. Great guys!
it's not just about being the best guitar or bass player or drummer. Its about being a brilliant songwriter and having a decent singer.Thats April wine has proven to be wow so many great songs from this band.
I hadn't heard of this band until I moved from the U.K to Canada. And as a fan of Thrash metal and Hardcore Punk it really isn't my thing at all. But the songs are so catchy it's impossible not to like em. My guilty pleasure!
Came here to listen to my fav April Wine song and remember Myles Goodwyn, AW was a summer staple in arenas across Canada 🇨🇦 wish I had kept all my ticket stubs from the many times I saw them at Sudbury arena. I live in Toronto now and have been to many stadium shows, but none compare to the excitement of those $5 shows of my youth, RIP Myles 💔
I remember listening to there music when I was 5 years old. Back in the 1970s. Because of my older brother and sisters. Born and raised in San Antonio Texas. This past Father's day I turned 50 years old
Just saw these guys in concert. They rocked the house. Of course this awesome song was saved for near the end. The only classic they didn't play was I Rock Myself To Sleep
First band i ever heard in concert. 1979 Billings Metra. Backup band for Foreigner. Still remember that revolving red light and drummer Jerry Mercer. Strange smoke in the air. Got to see them many years later in a small club and again at a festival the week after i retired. Time flies!
I like to Rock-1979 / Roller-1979 / Say Hello -1979 / Enough Is Enough-1982 / Sign Of The Gypsy Queen-1981 / You Could've Been A Lady-1972 / Just Between You And Me-1981 / This Could Be The Right One - 1984 / Weeping Widow-1973 / Tonight Is A Wonderful Time-1975 / All Over Town -1981 / Rock Myself To Sleep-1985 / Bad Side Of The Moon -1972 / Like A Lover Like A Song-1976 . I have All LPs of April Wine am a huge Fan.

@@jonsmith6311 Listen to Heart songs from mid to late 80s like "Never","You aint so tough" or Roxette songs.
Bubblegum songs are catchy
His singing voice is so irreplaceable to me! What memories of my youth and first love when I first heard this song.

@@L3GHO5T Shit; Myles Goodwyn BLOWS AWAY Lee & Plant COMBINED!!!!! Even Ian Thomas & Gil Moore (Triumph) r on par w/Goodwyn .
One of Canads very best!!! And they're masters of the key change..a fading art in todays music.

His voice is remarkably powerful and clear on this track. What an awesome voice and awesome song.
This is the most beautiful song I've ever heard.
I love this song. April Wine will always be my fav Canadian band. I like the Stampeders, BTO, The Guess Who to name three others but April Wine will always be number one with me.

This is one of my top fall songs. It's like a ritual to play this as the temperature cools and the leaves change colors.

I have been a big fan of these guys since day one. I was born and raised near Myles Goodwin's hometown in N.B. Canada.
