Sir I got to know about ISI few days back and i am willing to give the entrance but the problem is I'm a very average student + slow learner and got only 5 months to prepare, also my concepts aren't so good. Go through the nptel lectures. nptel lectures on Probability and statistics by somesh kumar, then statistical inference by somesh kumar, then linear regression. Finish these 3 lectures in 1-1.5 months, then come to these book.

@@mastertheblaster8981 yes bro. if you do nptel, then solve previous year qns, or qns from standard books, you will ace the exam very easily. Infact nptel lectures cover things very thoroughly and your concepts will be crystal clear. Go for it.

No I guess. But it helps you to make your concepts clearer for the exam, which is really important.
