    I make chia and flax seed crackers using almond flour (finely ground almonds), chia and flax seed (2 parts chia to one part flax) mix, purée a variety of vegetables into the mix, (equivalent in quantity to the almond flour which is the same quantity as the seed mix), it’s an easy recipe to remember, 1 chia 2 flax, 3 almonds and veg. Eg a third of a cup of chia seeds, 2 thirds of a cup flax seed, 1 cup puréed vegetables, 1 cup of almond flour. It makes a moist batter, that you thinly layer on a baking sheet and bake for half a hour. If making them for guests, simply spoon the mixture onto a baking sheet to create uniform sized blobs on the baking sheet and bake at 180°c until crispy 8-10 minutes. They keep well in a Tupperware, and on occasion I add some grated cheese too. Also if I’m in a hurry for a quick snack, simply finely grate some cheese into small mounds in a frying pan. Melt the cheese and allow it to turn a golden colour. Let it cool, and voila cheese crackers I admit sometimes I’m lazy and just slice my cheese really thinly and melt the strips. That works too.

    Thank you!! I got COVID in 2021, and I almost died from respiratory failure,and I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I'm excited I love crackers! I am on a keto-ish diet no carbs except veggies. I miss chips and crackers!!! Thank you Sylvia and Becky!!!!❤

      So sorry to hear that Michelle. However, you can rid yourself of diabetes by combining - 3 cinnamon sticks, 1/2 cups clove 2 cups hibiscus flower 5 bay leaf, ginger to taste and 2 pineapple. In a large pot combine everything except the ginger and pineapple. When boiled for about 15-20 minutes strain. Blend ginger/blend pineapple and strain. When the hibiscus portion is cooled, combine with the ginger and pineapple. It is a popular African drink. Look up the benefits. It is amazing. There is also a plant called Burdock (Jamaicans call this the insulin plant) Purchase that and drink as a tea. You will never ever have diabetes or high BP. I am a witness for this. Get better totally soon!!!!!

    We make hummus all the time with chickpeas, garlic, olive oil, lemon. We also have tried making hummus with frozen Lima beans in place of chickpeas.

    These would also be yummy as a breakfast granola. Just eliminate the garlic and herbs and add vanilla extract and cinnamon and a dash of salt. Sprinkle on plain Greek yogurt or use as a cereal with almond milk. You could add strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, a few walnuts, toasted almonds, and a little shredded coconut flakes for protein packed breakfasts. If you use no more than 1/2 cup of the berries it would be low carb.

    Look good but I cannot do seeds. So I make almond flour, egg to make a dough, some cheese. Cut into 1" bites and cook for 15 minutes. Easy peezy, they are crisp and satisfying. Keto friendly.

    I think portion sizes are a big part of any diet. Our stomachs are only the size of our palm! So overeating is a big problem. In the US the plate sizes are crazy. Way too much food.

    Maybe chick peas but I can’t eat seeds diverticulitis. You can also put cottage cheese by spoonfuls and bake an it will be like a chip and crunchy.so proud of you Sylvia for trying to be healthy.

    Try going Vegan for even a week!! Best decision I’ve ever made. The weight honestly melts off 😊and in no time you have a healthy slim body. I love flax/chia seeds. Just stay away from wheat flour & sugar 😁

    Another good snack is sliced chilled cucumber to use as a chip to dip in hummus (chickpeas dip). It’s a delicious substitute for using chips and the skin from the cucumber gives a crunch.

    Taco meat seasoning

    Here is a recipe to make your own taco seasoning. Enjoy
    Taco Seasoning Blend
    2 tbsp chili powder
    1-1/2 tsp paprika
    2 tsp cumin
    1/2 tsp onion powder
    1/2 tsp garlic powder
    1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
    2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    1/4 tsp oregano

    Hi Sylvia yes so good KETO!!! I'm 67 I'm on KETO for many years and I love it !!! i make this by times too this super healthy crackers and while I was watching this video I eat my Macro lentil beetroot bites that I brought in supermarket low carbs and zero sugar!!! also yummy is melt peanut butter ADD cocoa powder and protein powder and add monkfruit sugar or eritrytol or stevia and vanilla and nuts than spread out like a big chocolate on baking tray and top it with whatever you want like strawberry pieces or other and nuts freeze it for one/ 2 hours and enjoy it also you can mix it with peanut butter, cocoa and natural greek yoghurt! there are also many yummy keto recipes on youtube real yummy love you all xx (ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥😍 God Bless you all 💕😍

    Hummus recipe
    Ingredients
    1½ cups cooked chickpeas, drained and rinsed
    ⅓ cup smooth tahini*
    2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
    2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, plus more to taste
    1 garlic clove
    ½ teaspoon sea salt
    5 tablespoons water, or as needed to blend
    Paprika, red pepper flakes, and/or fresh parsley, for garnish
    Warm pita bread , and/or veggies, for serving
    Instructions
    In a high-speed blender, place the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt. Use the blender baton to blend until very smooth, adding water as needed to blend, and/or to reach your desired consistency.
    Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with paprika, red pepper flakes, and/or fresh parsley. Serve with warm pita and veggies, as desired.
