None of the other groups can even come close to Home Free's version! I have loved this song almost all my adult life…I have heard good, bad and ugly versions lol. However, since the very first time I listened to Home Free perform it, I have fallen in love with it (and them) all over again! What a glorious experience!

Tim Foust (the bass) is from southeast Texas; Austin Brown (high tenor) is from south Georgia; Rob Lundquist, Chris & Adam Rupp are all from Minnesota. When Chris Rupp left, Adam Chance joined - he's originally from Alabama. Austin spent years in college (on a full music scholarship) trying to nullify his accent - when he joined Home Free they told him to stop trying.
What you sang was "Silent Night" and Home Free has a video/song of that too.

The very first time I heard this sung with no music I was in Jr. High school music class. Our music instructor sang it and at my very young tender age I felt goosebumps for the very first time hearing it sung different from any other way. Our teacher was amazing, beautiful voice. I wish I could remember his name, but it was more than 60 years ago! :)

I saw them in concert last night (my third time). They didn't sing this, but did a mix of their new and old Christmas songs and a mix of some of the quarantine songs and popular favorites. The encore was Ring of Fire. When Tim hit the low note the floor vibrated. And Adam's beat box solo was just incredible!
