Reasons why I love this song 1. It has the best background music. 2. It has very strong language. 3. It’s funny in some lines, for example, “He hates me, I LIKE THAT,” but mainly because they are just so random.
I love Peaky Blinders, was watching the new season when my bassist turned me onto Idles. Listen to their music for a week solid, then tried to explain to my wife why my head exploded when this tune came on in the finale.
Bar scene in "Biohackers" episode 4. Had to pause it to come look the song up. Closed captions provided the name of it. Nice that I found a British rock song through a German TV show sitting in America.
Holy shit... I couldn't quite make out what he was saying. So I looked it up... he's straight up busting skulls. Takes me right back to the pit in the good old days.
He’s taking the piss out of roided out pricks who go out looking for trouble. Something Joe did back in the day. He grew up and now he’s calling out these assholes.
@@brendanforester4601 sorry 😂😂🤣🤣. I've just seen a few comments on the video of the speech itself and they were all singing Mosley's praises and saying it's a heroic speech for the modern generation... They weren't being ironic. It's been a bit weird, to say the least. Had me a bit jumpy. Such a great scene though. Sam Claffin's performance is one of the most pleasant surprises of the year. In acting, that is.
@@elliotstannard5621 No worries. I'm not actually a fascist. It is worth noting, for the sake of historical accuracy, that the show makes Mosley look worse here than he was in real life. For one thing, he and the British Union of Fascists never used the phrase "Perish Judah". That originated from a Nordicist group that called itself the Right Club. Mosley and the BUF were opposed to the Jews in positions of power within the fields of banking, media, and government, not the entire people as a whole. This was the initial case, before the last year or so of the organization's existence, when they came heavily under increasingly National Socialist influence. This in turn, led to them being branded as a 5th column, and had Mosley and his wife being interned for most of WWII.
What software did you use to make it? Love the smooth transitions. Also i watch this version cause the original MV gives me a headache, the colors and animations make me feel kinda weird.
Hey, thanks a lot! Sorry for delayed response. I use FCP usually these days but I think this Idles video was done with Wondershare Filmora, which is a pretty sharp little editor with loads of fun effects and stuff. I like to go back into it from time to time for the cute shit. Hope you're all well!
Thank you Peaky Blinders!! This song was perfect for Oswald Mosley! I put my earbuds on and sing it full blast while I’m cooking. My hubby thinks I’m bat$h!t 😜 crazy! 😂
A song about the lead singer's youth and his former penchant for picking fights with random blokes. Bites him right in the ass in the end, lesson to be learned.
Wow, I’m happy I wasn’t the only one who thought that exact same thing! I was semi surprised to learn it was dulcet. So surprised I had to dictionary the goddamn words definition actually.
Always thought I'd heard Nancy sing "one of these daisy boots are gonna walk all over U" (Loved the contrast between the cutesy boots and an act of selfreliant violence)
The lyrics are hilarious and all over the place. Love it.
A bag of Charlie Sheen.
