A marriage proposal from the Kishū family comes up for Kikuji (Komura Hiro), but her brother, Sawatari Shusui (Kitaōji Kinya), declines it. At that time, the lord of the Kishū family had died under suspicious circumstances. Shusui decides to set out on a journey to clear up the family turmoil in the Kishū domain. The person who was proposed as a marriage partner for Kikuji is Shin'nosuke, a young samurai who had helped Shusui when he was being attacked by someone a few days ago, but left without even thanking him. Shin'nosuke, who is the heir to the Kishū domain, seems to have headed for Kishū afterwards, but Iwakura Guntayū (Mikimoto Shinsuke), the Edo elder of the Kishū domain who is planning to make the child born to his concubine the lord of the domain, is after his life. Shusui hastens his journey to Kishū with Kikuji and his servant, Sasao Yoshinari (Sakai Masashō)...

What I always look forward to: our Bored Samurai always winds up in situations nobody could POSSIBLY survive: being blown up on a ship, crushed by a collapsing stage, falling into a pond of poisonous water, being blown up in a mine shaft with no way out, and so on.
Then, in a dramatic scene, he later appears unscratched and laughing.
And it's never - ever - explained how he survived certain death.
I love that about him. 🥰

Scene 32.45,❤🎉, I always love these poor stupid brainless people who knows that he will be definitely targetted for murder and yet goes willingly to his own death like the brave stupid brainless person he is!! Wow!! I really never ever ever thought that he would be attacked and therefore killed on his way to the Shogun, when he himself had told his own bitter enemies that he would definitely go to the Shogun to complain against his enemies, because I always thought that the Japanese were good, honest and therefore honorable people who will not murder a typical stupid brainless person who himself has told them about his own plans and his own path. After all,they could have killed him at the same time when he opposed their plan to replace the heir to the clan! 😅😂. I will never ever understand these poor stupid Japanese people, especially the samurai warriors shown in these stupid brainless TV serials!! 😂😅
