    My dad used to use transmission oil with a bit of diesel in it and I remembering that working great if you’re stuck one day give it a try

      Yeah they are all hard with the pull cord if you put the choke on it should be a bit easier

    The yamahas make a good engine ol buddy, that 99 400 i got is a strong runner too. Some of the old bikes are super reliable

    Hi Sir, I hope you can help me. I have a Yamaha Bear tracker 250, 2002. My bike just died on me the other day. For a while I've heard something running along even after I've turn it off. My mechanic told me it's my starter clutch that ran along. But when it quit running the other day the pull-start is stuck, I'm waiting for a nice day to remove the pull start to see if the engine isn't seized, he says maybe it's only my pull start or starter clutch. Is it safe to put penetrating oil in my sparkplug hole? I'm not mechanical but I'm keen on learning. Thanks for your video.

    • @509trails

      I put Penetrating oil in the spark plug hole to get it Unseized and it seemed to do the trick. But take off your pull starter and see if it seized first. Make sure you leave the spark plug out before turning it over

    • @jermeeuropa9986
      @jermeeuropa9986 ปีที่แล้ว

      I finally had a little spare time today to remove my pull-start and the pull start was fine. I was able to turn the motor over with a 17mm ratchet quite easily but not super smooth but I guess my motor is not seized. I guess my next step would be to open her up further to inspect if it is indeed the starter clutch that went bad. What's your take on this?
      Thanks

    Hey I have a 1985 yamaha moto 4 200cc and its also pull start.... do you think this would work for mine? Cause the engine is seized too

    • @509trails
      @509trails  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why did your engine seize? Did it get ran with out oil or was it sitting for a long time? You could try it it might work

      Well I brought my yamaha blaster and moto 4 to fiji and customs literally didn't allow me to get my bikes for 4years then I was finally able to get them after they left my bikes outside exposed in the rain and sun and they also took half the parts. It's been six years now since my bikes haven't started up and my moto 4 has been seized since I got it back.

      @@stefaanvanlaeys8138 if the bottom end is bad you're looking at 400 to 2000 to replace or rebuild. To me it isn't worth it. The only reason I took on the kodiak project is because they told me it sat for a long time . When they tried to get it running it was seized. To me that meant the condensation rusted the cylinder making the rings were stuck. I wouldn't buy the grizzly unless I had another engine for it
