He was formerly the crown prince of the entire nation and has enjoyed the best cuisine in the world, dined at the most luxurious restaurants, and sampled the finest wine. It fits his character much to not enjoy the food, but he's amicable enough to not complain about it. I love how much the actor Li Hongyi conveys with his expression alone. Also, Lie Wujie is so clueless about everything- it's adorable.
That is actor Ao Rui Peng as Lei Wu Jie (the airhead😂)!! His character as Yang Yang in 'A Female Student Arrives at the Imperial College ' was really fun too!
That is actress Zhao Yao Ke who was 😇the character Leng Yue in 'The Imperial Coroner.' In that TV drama she played a very different role. She is so cute.

This movie is really interesting and entertaining. Each of the main characters plays their characters so well . Their interaction is enjoyable, light hearted and often humorous. Nevertheless I have to give a shout out for my man Xue yi. I have just recently discovered this guy and can say I am now a huge fan. 🥰 This guy is great in whatever role he plays, ie as a baddie in Destined (cold and calculation), as a hero in Qing luo (the lover man, he had some moves) or as a monk (jury still out as to whether he's a hero or just revenging a wrong). I did wondered if he actually shaved his hair off or was it just a latex job. For me this man is handsome (especially with hair) and will always bring something interesting to the table that gets you attached for him or against him.

So far this series hasn't been bad. There's plenty of acceptable fighting sequences, unlike a lot of the newer "wuxia" series and movies that betray the name--the quality of martial arts coordination has deteriorated badly with Hong Kong not making anything anymore. The fighting sequences in a lot of these Chinese-made series are pathetic, over-relying on wirework flying and special effects. Here in this episode there's the surprise that the eunuch agent seems to be even more powerful than the young monk, who knows all the deep techniques. How's that possbile?
