I loved this movie from the very first moment I rented it on VHS. Back in the 80s...back in the day! Another Stephen King book that successfully transferred to the big screen.
It seems to be overlooked but 'Christine' was a Stephen King story originally. Having said that though great respect to John Carpenter. He's a class act.
Carpenter was rebounding from the huge box office disappointment of The Thing. So the quality of the film and the score for Christine says a lot about his resilience and work ethic.

One of the best fantasy novels on the theme of automotive passion brought to the screen with mastery. I think even today it would be difficult to do better and yet the film does not date from yesterday.On can only praise him so much this beautiful and devilish car has marked its era and continues to do so today, that is to say the importance of the impact.

His first car was a four door 1958 Plymouth , why he wrote the book . I owned a 58 four door Plymouth for a while . I loved these cars since I was young , now a senior , these cars cannot be found . Sad .
I have my own "Christine " It's not a 1958 Plymouth Fury like in the movie but a 1997 red Mitsubishi Eclipse that I named Christine when I got it at age 15. Unfortunately she doesn't go around killing the people that have done me wrong but she's beautiful,fast and for a car that's 20 yrs old never gave me any problems. And when I'm depressed or mad I just go on long drives alone with her and my favorite music blasting. I'll never get rid of her..I plan on keeping her till I'm too old to drive and if she ever stops running I'll keep her in my garage . That car has been with me through a lot of shit. Everyone should have their own Christine ❤.
i watched this for the first time last night and there is just something so eerie about it, i can't put my finger on what it is but overall this is a brilliant film. creators did good here, with the soundtrack and the featured songs in it
it's because john carpenter knows how to make creepy visuals with a simple score underlying it. or at least he did in the late 70s and early to mid 80s.
I read the novel by Stephen King before watching the movie. The book is much better than the movie, but the movie is still good, although I think, a great part of the story is missing in the movie.
I drive a low riding 2006 chevy colorado, with the sweet 5 cylinder, that was wine colored but i sun faded it red. I still blair this video from an fm transmitter as i offroad my truck in northern ontario. XD been driving it since 2007 and this song gloves it. I'll drive my truck into a tornado while i watch new ones rolling across the field.

I love Christine so much and I always sing the sounds and collect Christine cars and I remember I saw a Plymouth fury in amazing condition and sometimes I feel like ive been followed when I go to school , shopping, even with my family and I never get to see the driver . but now I started getting interested in other things and sadly I don't see christine anymore . I feel bad for some reason

I think K2000 was eat by Christine, Only a Robocop car will maybe resist. I understand why this Carpenter period is his best however she is underated in 80's some many young director film realize, like Terminator of Cameron, 40 years after these film is an reference of suspense-horror movie.
