Her trick to use the microplane for garlic instead of the press is actually the better way to do it. Those presses never work for me I always just get squashed garlic stuck in there. Grating the garlic gets it into smaller pieces and you have more control. Plus it’s so satisfying lol.

It works without the oil as well! My mom used to make this delicious side with our dinner , bake bread of your choice we liked to use baguettes, bake your garlic in the oven wrapped in tinfoil, then spread some cream cheese on your bread, then add some garlic and it spreads like butter on top so good!!!

If you want to make the pasta but don’t like full tomatoes in your pasta then I recommend that instead of the tomatoes, you use tomato sauce on the outside of the cheese!
