Outstanding video. Love silver age DC, especially Batman and this covered it very well. Have a couple of these including 155 and 171. Got my 359 a couple years ago. Dude bought it raw and had it in his PC for 40 years before getting graded. Came back CGC 6.5 off-white pages and I paid a total of $800 for it. Glad to see it’s finally getting its due. All these books are undervalued in my opinion. Thanks again!
I like DC keys. If they ever get their movies and HBO Max shows in order, so many keys could pop. I was able to get a Batman collection earlier this year with the Penguin, Riddler, Poison Ivy, and Scarecrow keys. No love for Bat-Mite?
Great video (and one that I enjoyed as a DC collector)! One thing that I notice with a lot of these books is steady growth. It’s no mystery that they haven’t kept pace with their Marvel equivalents, but with a faltering cinematic universe it’s a good sign that these keys are still rising. A lot of the Batman rogues books are just issues that collectors will want to own regardless of speculation, which is a good indicator that the books have a steady base of demand that continues to rise, and still has the potential to grow even further should DC develop its cinematic universe.
It’s not silver but Demon 1 is a great book I wouldn’t sleep on Constantine 1st appearance either If the slightest hint that Keanu Reeves reprising his role for another movie and that book would move big time 🤷 DC 🔑
@@AutomaticComics I stopped collecting in the late 90's and started watching the market about 18 months ago. heartbreaking to think about the books I sold waaaaaaay too early (detective 359 (6.5ish), daredevil 1 (4ish), g.s. xmen 1 (7.0ish) iron man 1) or the books that were stolen (ff 52, submariner 1, captain marvel 1, Thor 337, transformers 1 etc) or the books that I purchased in the 80's and 90's as unrestored, but, of course, were restored (thanks Daniel dupcak). but I still have a lot of books that I bought for next to nothing including several of today's video's books in, (ungraded) minimum 7.0 (batman 155, 181, 189). these vids both lift my spirit and depress me. I keep watching.

The only SA Batman key I need is the Tec 233. I have both first Batgirl appearances at a CGC 9.0 and the other books at least 6.5-7.0 range

Generally I've found that bronze age horror doesn't have much value. There are exceptions of course like some of the big first appearances.

Yep, it’s similar to people collecting the silver age ASM keys. There’s a base of demand for those Batman book.
