I also started to crochet Amigurumi by making a ball from youtube! I have been crocheting for one year and just yesterday I gave my niece a memorial plushie dog! She lost her Puggle recently and I wanted to do something for her other than a card. I tried to make it look like her dog as much as possible. Crochet has helped me cope with depression and making items for others is a great way to boost their spirits and your own at the same time. I love your channel and how real you are with your honesty and sharing your knowledge about crochet and life!
I think my favourite is your second version of Coco and the reason being what I call Crafty therapy. ❤ Apart from that choice I love the snugglers and bee fidget and last but not least the loaf cat. I’m not great with having to pick a favourite and honestly I liked them all except the coat of many colours cow 😂. I love your videos and I am always crocheting while I’m watching. Thank you ❤ Looking forward to seeing you in 2025. Happy new year Tami 🎉🎉🎉
I appreciated learning your crochet journey. When my dog passed in January, I made a plushie to remind me of her. It lays in my bed and every night I give her a pat and say good night, just as I did every night for the 11 years that she lived with me. I enjoyed the award style presentation of your plushies. Well done!
When my daughter was little I started to learn to crochet and I made blankets. 3 years ago my dad passed away and my mom wanted to go to a market to sell her sewing stuff and memory quilts/bears. So I decided to make plushies to sell with her I kind of taught myself and watched videos. Going to markets now an awesome time that I get to share with my mom bonding time. I now have created 4 plushies of my own.
That is so awesome that you’re doing that with your mom! I’m sure she absolutely loves spending that time with you as I do with my girls! Thank you so sharing your story I’m sorry to hear about your dad.
I think you did a great job on your first plushie. I bought the book for those snugglers and I made some for my grand nieces and nephews and they are really nice, but mine were bigger so I don't know what I did different, I used the 7 and 8 size hooks suggested, they were my first plushies I ever made I was procrastinating making them thinking there were going to be hard but they were pretty easy. I've been crocheting for years but never really went much past making blankets out of 4 weight yarn but heck i'm even trying wearables now, I just started a cardigan last night. Buy watching everyone's content on TH-cam it's given me the confidence to try others things, i'm having a blast. It was very sweet listening to your husband explaining the blanket you made for your daughter, he sounded very proud of you. Happy New Year.
That’s so awesome you’re making plushies now. I’m sure they loved them. I use a 6.5 with blanket yarn (just because that’s what I had when I started using blanket yarn) and then a 7 for the body. Probably why mine look smaller. You’re probably looking more like the pictures in the book size wise!
My daughter is 27 and was struggling to crochet a stuffie from a pattern, she then bought a cheap kit and also couldn’t figure it out. For Christmas I bought her a woobles kit and by the end of the day she had finished it. The next day we had a 4 hour carried to visit family and she made the project from the cheap kit no problem, she is hopeful she can do the pattern next!
That’s awesome she got it figured out from a wobbles kit! I’ve never tried one of those so it’s good to hear it worked for her. If she figured out the cheap kit I bet she could totally follow any pattern!!!
I started crocheting because when I was at my third market, I was next to two crochet booths and two epoxy resin booths. I didn’t make a whole lot however that was because of the wind that day. It was a rough market. But being around booths that where people were going to more gave me that push to crochet. I also saw them crocheting at their booths and I was like oh my goodness I want to do that! I want something to do like that at my booth for fun and to sell. So 7 months later, I’ve been crocheting. I’ve made extremely cute things even dove into making wearables.
@ it is, I have a bunch of yarn in my craft closet and I was organizing last night and my cat decided she was gonna cause an avalanche of yarn 🫠 not only is it fun for me but for cats too lol 😅 she was grabbing it with her paw - purring away. Lol. Some of it was in plastic but not all.
Amazing first animal! I am enjoying your videos but have to say that descending scale piano music with your titles (chapters?) is SO annoying. You have a nice speaking voice and then suddenly this irritating music just cuts through! You don’t need it.
Which project is your favorite?
Love the first dog plushy, looks great to me for first one!!!🎉🎉🎉
I love all of the Disney princess dolls.

Well done on the inside out characters
Thank you! They were one of those passion projects and I love them!
Do you mind sharing which multi color yarn you used on the blue loaf cat? It is really cute!
I started crocheting after the death of my twin sister a few years back.
Sorry for your loss
Sonja I’m so sorry to hear about your sister. Glad you found crochet and it helped you navigate grief like it did me.

Hi Tami,
Have you seen these embroidered eyes? 👀
Omg no I haven’t seen this video but thank you for sharing! Watched the intro and am definitely intrigued! It’s now on my list to try crocheted eyes!

Thank you for feedback. I never thought the title sound effect would be annoying…is the volume on it too loud maybe
