Really enjoyed putting these videos together with you Jonah! Once again there is a ton of excitement around this race and can't wait for the race to get underway!
I will have to be honest, about Ben Ketting: Why is he still a bronze driver with that much talent? I mean, I know that given this the "Super" Bronze title that he gets isn't a joke but doesn't he seem like more of a Silver at the least? Or am I missing something?
@@DuvJones A big consideration in the rating is if they are doing this professionally. Ben doesn't do this as his profession and is a gentleman driver. Also important is age and when he started racing. He started racing in the Rolex and big events when he was in his mid to late 30's which is also a factor. There are other very quick Bronze drivers in various series who are also not doing this professionally so I think it would create a pretty large grey area if you start upgrading these guys to silver etc
@@offintheesses Fair enough, but from what I have seen of the man.... it's an arguement to be made aside from the fact that he might not want that upgrade.
Ben Keating is just incredible. Doing double duty is a lot to manage, and putting one of the cars on pole? He's the best Bronze rated driver I know of. Also a very nice guy, I was pleased to find out last season. I saw him at the Chateau Élan hotel near Road Atlanta the night before Petit and wished him a good race. He thanked me and gave me a pat on the arm even though it seemed like he was in a rush.
Ritomo Miyata is driving the GTD Lexus as well. He should be on the sports car radar winning Super Formula and Super GT in the same year. Super GT was the feeder series for a lot of P1 drivers back in the day
Didnt know there were so many F1 and IndyCar drivers in this coming race! Awesome stuff and info, I’m a recent sub and been loving all the content to get me hyped for the race weekend
Finally both creative spearheads of Sportscar racing on TH-cam came together! You forgot about Jack Hawksworth's Indycar past though, making the GTD Pro Vasser Sullivan Lexus an Indycar hotbed.
I'd call my nephew Connor Zilisch in the Era Motorsports Motul car a NASCAR driver. Although he's only 17, so it's hard to label him anything specific.
I doubt that would work. IMSA is so popular because it is a series that races in the US and mainly attracts US teams and drivers. If they merged with WEC there would be less US races and more traveling which would probably be too expensive for many IMSA teams.
Peugeot wouldn't be able to run in IMSA atleast as Peugeot because they don't produce any cars in America so don't meet the 2500 car threshold for IMSA. They could technically rebadge as Dodge though as they are both in the Stellantis group.
@@maxb148 Absolutely true. They would not be able to rebadge the 9X8 as a Dodge and they don't produce cars for export to America. The last time Peugeot was here, knowing my automotive history, was in the late '80s. I think 1989 or so. They tried selling the 505 and 405 models here stateside, and both of them were massive flops.
Small reminder to put offintheesses' video in the lefthand spot in the endcard. Or is it showing me your "Top 10 Rolex 24 Winners" video because I've already seen his part?
While I understand the importance of the research period and the off-season, I'm really glad the Rolex 24H is in February and that there's some races being done in the middle east where it's warmer. I want to watch fast cars!
I think so. They seem to have a strong package for the Rolex, so I could see them winning it. It would be cool too, giving BMW their only 2nd win of Daytona

It’s been a pleasure to work with you on the video as well Stu, along with the project over on your channel as well!

He certainly is incredible.
He's such an underrated driver. He doesn't really get the recognition he should.
Ritomo Miyata is driving the GTD Lexus as well. He should be on the sports car radar winning Super Formula and Super GT in the same year.
Super GT was the feeder series for a lot of P1 drivers back in the day
He is actually on the F1 radar, as he'll jump straight to F2 this year
Congratulations on the collaboration! Great content and synergy.
Much appreciated! Thank you!

This GTP field is stacked with so much talent.
Ben Keating is a bronze driver in name only. He's got an insane resumé, and is incredibly consistent. Love seeing people who just love racing
Two legends in one video!
Great job on this video. Fan of you both and loved seeing you work together.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the support!
You guys nailed it!!!! What a great flow btw you both to give us great info. Thanks a lot.

Great info guys! Love this collaboration. Cannot wait til Saturday!!
Thank you so much!
Very informative. You got a niche here, good luck.
Thank u

Great Video, Thank you for this, I would also mention the NASCAR drivers in the race, I hear there’s a few unless I’m incorrect.

I really wish Le Mans was just both IMSA and WEC grids combined
Ha, a national series in a world one?
@@ronbelanger4113 for the top endurance race, yes
Great Collab
The WEC and IMSA may as well just combine at this point. There are nearly the same car wise, just ones in America

We need also the Ferrari 499P, Peugeot 9X8 and Toyota GR010 at IMSA
Definitely!
I agree.
+1👍

I really want the acura #10 🇵🇹 to win but the #1 Cadillac has what I call a super team 😀
good stuff
Katherine Legge was also a fomer Indycar driver and will be in the 66 car
Yes! I initially didn’t know she did IndyCar! But now I know for the future!
do you stay up during the whole race?
I do try to! I’m hoping this year that I can! Or sleep for just a few hours.
ferrari 499p need have resources to expand the thier hypercar like another customers
I'm so glad Jenson Button didn't give up driving and stick to punditry, would love to see him get the win
The only way we will get the WEC Hypercars to race the Rolex 24 is by making the Rolex a WEC points race for the Hypercar class only.

Thanks for the reminder! For some reason TH-cam didn’t update it, but it’s fixed now!
its really a huge bummer about the SC63 won't make it to Rolex24
Go Porsche!!!

Daytona is actually this weekend, that's still January.
@@Maenfy oh you’re right I was getting ahead of myself haha
The 963 is a LMH car isn’t it
Odd to see Lamborghini involved in Motorsport
Think you forgot to mention Katherine Legge, but otherwise a great video :)
Oh I didn’t know that she did IndyCar! I guess I did forget her, my bad thanks for correcting, and thanks for watching the video!
@@FormulaJonah yeah she's done a handful of IC races in her career. Last year she did the 500
@joebarrera334 How cool! I’ll need to look more into her career
Does anybody really care about the real Super Bowl? This is the Super Bowl! Mustang vs Corvette vs Ferrari vs Porsche
Have BMW also a good Chance to Win the 24h of Daytona?
