I saw Bridget so many times back in the day, and still over fifty years later listen to her albums from time to time and never tire of her singing, playing and beautiful song writing.

    Beautiful voice...
If you like eerie folk music from early 70s like this, then go and listen Shelagh McDonald and Anne Briggs as well.

Bought the album Thank You For when I was still at school, and it remains one of my favourites, though unfortunately I have never seen her live.

I saw Bridget at the Half Moon, Putney in the early1970s and she was wonderful. One of those performances that casts a spell, utterly unforgettable. An excellent guitarist, with a uniquely beautiful “breathy” voice in the lower register. The only album I have is “Jumblequeen” but much of her music is on iTunes so there’s a chance to catch up, Thank you so much for posting.

My first introduction to Bridget St John was on John Peel's Dandelion sampler, 'There Is Some Fun Going Forward', then then OGWT, finally getting some of her records. Sadly I never got to see her live, so I'm a little bit envious of you. Terrific singer/songwriter, though.

I first came across Bridget’s song “Song to Keep You Company” just a few hours ago. Already I love her music a lot, and I’m thankful I’m slowly getting to know more and more folk musicians. I started out listening to Ben Howard, then found out about Nick Drake, John Martyn, Fairport Convention, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Dave Evans, and now Bridget St John.

@@1bh2nd3md I liked Nick Drake a lot ('Northern Sky' is a particular favourite of mine) and love John Martyn's music. I have a soft spot for Fairport Convention, Sandy Denny et al, but (and here, I have to be prepared for flame wars) I could never get in to Bob Dylan. I tried several times, but just couldn't get there.
But, there you go, confession done and I'm in the process of drinking several Hail Mary's whilst flagellating myself with cotton wool. I think that's how it goes...

@@mykelevangelista6492 Northern Sky is a favourite of mine too! And honestly? The beauty with music is that there's so much out there, and liking/disliking what people consider to be "the greats" is ok in my opinion, because what you like/are able to listen is down to you really. You said you couldn't get into Bob Dylan, which is completely fine. And judging by the artists I like (in my previous comment), you probably wouldn't expect me to say that I like listening to rap and jazz, yet some of my other favourite music artists happen to be rappers, jazz musicians, and "alternative/indie" musicians haha. I think it's always good to broaden your music taste.
