Great teacher, very lucky students. Sounds cliche but more teachers need to teach this way, he's going out of his way to upload a youtube series and he's really explaining everything and why he does it, even best practices. Just wow
At 16:37 when shifting to the Design Tab, mine is Empty, I can only see the "Components" box but nothing inside it, "Properties" box, "Palette" box, and a bigger white box on the right most where the window your developing should be. but all of them are empty. Why is that?
I have the 2017 Eclipse. I am having difficulty accessing Swing ---> Jtab. could you help. Some of the tools shown on your version does not show up or are not activated on mine.
Sooooooo Ive downloaded the most recent version of Eclipse (Oxygen) on my PC and I do not have the "create new visual classes" tab. Following your instructions to a tee, I get to the same page as you but the URL (that needs to be dragged and drooped) is blurred and its just an example page. Im clicking everywhere and not finding anything. a) Why should I have to download this if I have the latest version (Oxygen) June 2017 b) why is the page you directed me to not giving me the url? c) I actually started this project using eclipse on a Mac, it DOES have "create visual classes" again following your instructions to the letter I was not able to simply ad an icon to the project. I have the several images in the resource folder, various pixel counts, none of them work. I have figured out most of Eclipse on my own but then I run into seemingly very simple tasks that I just can't perform. Any help would be much appreciated.
In one of my classes, the professor said that using a WindowBuilder or anything similar to build the GUI would be cheating. I say that learning WB is just as difficult as learning Swing itself.
Just watched a video on same topic by my friend he was saying ' ok ' after every statement ( i say it too) I thought its common amoung us(indians) , then started watching your video; its very good but got distracted with 'Ok ok Ok'
