Honestly, I'm more attached to this drama than Hotel Del Luna. I watched Hotel Del Luna and thought that I wouldn't be able to move on after it ended but turns out Doctor John gave me a harder times. I just really love Cha Yohan's life story. I couldn't imagine if I was to be put in the same situation as Cha Yohan. The character is simply amazing and wonderful.

After watching Kdrama for a bit more than a decade, I declare that Cha Yo-Han and Kang Shi-Young are my all-time favorite couple in Kdrama land. The love portrayed in Dr. John are the kind of love we all aspired to have in real life - the noble and selfless love and the romantic love between a man and woman. I absolutely ADORE the delivery of Ji Sung and Lee Se Young in this drama. Their deep, mature, sincere, selfless, committed, tender, quietly passionate kind of love...all those emotions and longing are palpable through their eyes, facial expressions, and voice. Thank you Ji Sung and Se Young for such a superb and sincere performance! Lee Bao Young is a very lucky woman. and I wish our beloved Se Young can find someone who loves her like Yo-Han loves Shi-Young in real life too. Se Young in real life is such a darling girl and I really hope she is well-protected.

@@telur_dadar "It's okay, that's love" is such a great drama, a classic! Actually content-wise, it ranks higher than Dr. John for me. However, I'll still choose Yo-han and Shi-Young as my ideal couple. "Finding me in your memory" isn't my cup of tea. I fast-forwarded the entire drama :-(

I just finished watching this drama yesterday and I can’t get over with it. I really love Cha Yo Han character and Si Young so much. Hoping for another drama for them.
rewatching this drama in 2022 and all I can say is that Lee Se Young and Ji Sung have completely and irreparably made me their fan since this drama. I have watched every single drama they have both been in... in hopes of feeling the same emotions that this drama gave me. But rewatching this show made me realise that my feelings for this drama are unique to this alone. What gorgeous chemistry, the beautiful selfless love portrayed here, it's unmatchable. 🥺❤️😭

The song Way Back by Safira was damn amazing. I just love this ost song so much. Because I feel the lyrics really display true and emotional meanings behind it. A really fitting song for this drama. So far for this year, my top 2 drama I had watched is Hotel del Luna and now this, Dr John. Highly recommended for those who haven’t watch yet. Anyone watched both of these drama I suggested? 😊

This drama has affected me a lot. I’m about to go to university, however I still can’t find the job that I really want. Doctor John made me consider being a doctor. I used to have a little interest in medicine since Chemistry and Biology are my favorite subjects . But, there were something that had changed my mind. Now, thanks to this drama, I have an effort to research carefully about being a doctor.

This drama is one of the most interesting and thought-provoking of any I have watched. The end, though, is one of the most painfully disappointing I have watched. Dr. John had the opportunity to keep his promises to Dr. Kang Shi Young and he blew it. He stopped emailing her and made her worry -- for years. He told her she would be the first to know when something changed. He told Dr. Lee Yoo Joon instead. He told her he loved her but he failed to express that love meaningfully. I wish I could create an online petition to insist that the producers and writers fix this.
I had the same thought as you initially and kinda felt like I hated Dr Cha for a bit for talking SiYeon for granted. Then into thinking why he would have done this is probably trying to make SiYeon forget him. He doesn't want to take up her time to spend with someone who have such a poor health and uncertain future like him. But as SiYeon said, she just couldn't simply just forget him. She couldn't move on.
He had never forgotten her at all during those times and she is probably his inspiration to fight and become healthy again. Their love for each other just runs so deep with so much understanding.

The most gruelling scene is when he is with his father and both of them are so helpless in the face of death, and both of realise that no one can help them because it's too late to do the necessary as normal people.
He just has blood all over his face,literally only choice is too cry.
So naturally he would not want that for her...!!!
And all he cared for others pain...when he himself as never know what pain is whole of his life.

This kind of character is once in a million...!!!
