    CEBU is actually an archipelagic island province with 3 HUCs, 6 Component Cities and 44 Municipalities. On top of that, CEBU is surrounded by touristy islands like Bohol, Siquijor, Negros etc. CEBU cuisine and even its culture is a bit different from the people of Metro Manila.

    Grand fireworks is at 7pm in SRP and 9pm in Ayala Center / Cebu Business Park. You may also want to check out the face paint/ street party where people suddenly put face paint in your face when if you're just passing by in streets of Jones Avenue-Fuente Circle-Mango Avenue/Baseline, they're all connected in the same place. Enjoy!

      @@jackieInPhilippines Hi Jackie, after Sinulog continue partying by joining Iloilo Dinagyang Festival in Panay Island in Western Visayas, hailed as the "Queen Festival of the Philippines" every 4th Sunday of January, awarded as the Best Tourism Event in the country and a Champion in the Battle of Festivals for many years at Aliwan Fiesta in Manila.

      @@jackieInPhilippines ILOILO is the regional capital of Western Visayas, just a 4 hours drive away from the World-class Boracay island, it's a first class highly urbanized city, boast a unique blend of ancient history, old-world charm and comforts of a modern city. Iloilo is more than just a tasty La Paz Batchoy (like Ramen) or the colorful Dinagyang festival (The best tourism event of PH, every 4th Sunday of January). Do you love seafood?, then you must dine to the two of the most highly recommended restaurants, Tatoy's Restaurant, famous for its native roasted chicken and seafood, when at Breakthrough Restaurant, grilled Managat fish and Binakol Chicken or Beef is the best, seafood is also available. Iloilo has the freshest seafood in the region because of the abundance from near by towns and provinces in Panay island, Ilonggo cuisine is one of the most delicious in the country, in fact Iloilo is now dubbed as the "Food Haven of the Philippines" and recognized internationally by UNESCO as the Creative City of Gastronomy in the Philippines.
      Visit our old Central Business District "Calle Real" (Royal Street) where the old world charm and the past is always present, the second old CBD declared as a heritage site after Escolta in Manila, J.M. Basa Street in Calle Real is famous for its Siopao (stuffed steamed buns), you can try it at Roberto's or Kamsukkee also at Mr.Cow in Chinatown Iloilo just a
      walk away from the said street.
      Visit Iloilo Business Park (by Megaworld) awarded as the best township development in Asia in 2018, behold the beauty of its Parisian and Italian inspired edifices and enjoy its everyday festive vibe. Aside from old historical churches (must visit is Molo church and must try the famous Jo-anns fishball at Molo Plaza), and mansions Iloilo is also known for its Museums, a must visit if you want to know more about its history, people culture, traditions, arts etc. Our beaches outside the city like Isla Gigantes in Carles was recognized as one of best by Forbes magazine, not far away is Guimaras island and it's sweetes mangoes. Experience nature in the city? visit Iloilo River Esplanade, the longest linear park in the country, the best to jog, walking, exercise or just enjoy the sun and the river (nature) especially in the morning, boat ride is also available in the area.
      Fyi: all public markets in the city are being modernized, two of the seven are being positioned to compete with other modern markets in the world.
      The city has great and modern shopping malls too like SM City Iloilo, Festive Walk Iloilo, Robinsons at City proper, Jaro district and Pavia and Vista Mall to name a few, but many Ilonggos are now very excited to the soon to rise SM Supermall in Jaro district, according to it's management the future mall is bigger than SM Megamall, the construction is expected to start in 2024. S&R like Costco is also present located in Mandurriao district and the soon Landers Superstore at Iloilo Business Park to give you the brands you used to enjoy back home. For your entertainment IMAX with laser the first in the Visayas is now open in SM City Iloilo to give you a world-class movie going experience.
      Don't forget to bring home Iloilo with you, Biscocho by Biscocho haus in Jaro and Galletas by Panaderia de Molo Est. in 1872 is probably the oldest bakeshop in the country located in Molo district is the best pasalubong or take home, also in Molo district is the famous Pansit Molo (like wonton soup). These and more... have fun, enjoy and stay safe.

    I don't know why I feel depress when I am in Cebu. Don't get me wrong, I spent my college years in one of the universities there. Perhaps, the weather made me sick and depressed. It's just too hot in Cebu especially during summer.

      @@tca666 Cebu City itself maybe small but it's located on Cebu island which is 3 times larger than Hong Kong and 7 times larger than Singapore. Cebu is composed of over 150 islands and islets surrounded by turquoise blue water. Cebu has lots of white sand beaches in Bantayan Islands, Camotes Islands, Malapascua Island and even on northwestern mainland Cebu. These long stretches of white sand beaches with less crowd are better than the overrated Boracay or Bohol. Cebu also has more than 110 waterfalls which are famed for their turquoise, clear blue water, hundreds of accessible mountain peaks, established hiking trails, snorkeling and diving sites, 10 international-rated golf courses (2 of them public).

    Cebu has the second largest metropolitan areas after Manila. But, it's not for me. I know it offers a lot to do there but I would rather choose Ilo-ilo City. I believe it's more relax and the people don't have bad attitude like the Cebuanos who are arrogant.

    • @lionhearted1969
      @lionhearted1969 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really? I think some Cebuanos are arrogant only to Ilonggos who publicly and unabashedly show their envy towards Cebu and Bacolod. Ilonggos keep claiming Iloilo is the true Queen City of the south without understanding the context of that title. Cebuanos never claim or never say they live in the Queen City of the south and it's because it's the media organizations use the monicker in early 1990s when Cebu experienced an economic miracle after the deadliest typhoon (in Cebu history) Ruping in 1990 that devastated Cebu. In fact, it spawned the now iconic Ceboom Ceboom TVC by San Miguel Beer. But Iloilo's title is different: Queen's City of the South which is totally different from Queen City of the South. Notice the apostrophy on Queen's? It's because the Queen of Spain issued such title to Iloilo in late 1800s when Iloilo remained loyal to the crown while the rest of the Philippines where in revolt against the Spain for independence. Ilonggos should know your own history and stop barking at the wrong tree. Ilonggos just show their ignorance and low IQ.:-)
