Words for me to use more often: 1. Neglected 2. Derelict 3. Haunted 4. Sketchy - dangerous, not safe 5. Creepy - a bit scary, frightening 6. Eerie - strange and frightening 7. Musty - to smell of mold and dampness 8. Well-lit 9. Spooky 10. Run down - in bad shape, worn out 11. Worn out- run down
I really appreciate that I could learn English in a real context which makes it much easier to understand the meaning of each word. I'm insufficient of the vocabulary describing scary places and the feeling of being scared, today, I've learned "eerie/creepy/sketchy/spooky" and so on. Besides, I like teacher Bob's gentle and comfortable voice, and I hope I can speak English fluently one day after watching those videos.
Oh, yes. We do have neglected places in our town. What a nice theme. I adore your lessons. Such a creative and professional approach. Everything seems so simple to be learned
Thanks for this lesson Bob. You are always innovating and making different ways to expand our vocabulary. I appreciate it! Here in Mexico we have a lot of spooky and haunted places.
Hello Bob the canadian, I just discovered your channel I cant stop watching your videos, Let me tell you that you are my favorite, you are the best teacher. I like the way you teach
Thank you, Mr. Bob, I'd like to suggest putting the explanations on the top or right or left sides of the video, because we read the captions on the bottom (so it's difficult to read the explanations and the captions at the same time). Thank you again ;)
This is the video that I’ve been waiting. I’ll learn more words from you teacher Bob. Thank you so much! And I hope you have a good day and make more videos.
I enjoy watching this lesson a lot. It’s interesting and funny. You did a great job with the acting and the sound effects. This lesson will make my Halloween this year a lot more fun and unusual. PS: The parking garage is very scary, and the lights that turn on when they sense motion are really creepy!
I knew the vocabulary before but enjoyed this lesson nonetheless. A great creative idea! And the weather was gloomy just to match the theme. Btw, I do understand your fear of heights. And when I saw those tree roots sticking out of the ground, I am glad you didn't stumble!
Thank you for your english lesson. I'd like to listen and learn through your english lesson regularly, easy to understand. Hope I can speak english fluently in the future.
I recommended your channel to my students and they absolutely love you! They love how clear and well you say the words; on top of that, you show examples of how to use those words and definitions.
Wow! This lesson is absolutely interesting. There are places where actually looks creepy as well as the various scary sounds. It's likely to make me feel something new. Thank T. Bob for this lesson. 👍
THANK YOU FOR THIS EXCRUCIATING EFFORT ....ROAMING ALL THOSE DERELICT HOUSES& HAUNTED SKETCHY WOODS MUST'VE DEMANDED A TRUEBLUE COMMITMENT....THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN FOR THIS EERIE& SPOOKY PEREGRINATION..THE WORN-OUT BRIDGES& THE MUSTY PLACES...OH THAT WAS AN INCREDIBLY SCARY JOURNEY......
I just finished learn your lesson on bad mood, and I came back to study this section again. Thank you teacher bob for making me lovely day,Learning English with you is a very interesting and relaxing thing.
The parking garage WAS spooky, it was like those we see in horror movies! And yes, we have some scary places in our town , only at night not in the daytime! And by the way all the places you showed are so beautiful ''the wood, that small bridge, the view at 6:38...'' of course in the daytime as you said . Great video.Have a nice day teacher Bob!
Thank you, the topic of this lesson was a pleasant surprise for me hence we do not really have Halloween the way you do. That house was neglected but you could make some use of it!
Hi Bob! I love this video, there are a lot of nuanced adjectives. The first place you visited, the abandoned house, made me sad…I thought of the people who lived here, maybe a family, the happiness they felt when settling in..everything was new and kleen, and now it is an opened to all the winds place…So sad…
😍😍🙌A beautiful and easy way to teach English because it is very close to reality. Thank you. I found your channel two days ago. I am happy. As for fear, I was only afraid in high places. The beauty of nature is a treasure. An amazing place there, but you scared me a little. Life taught me not to respond to fear💪. Thank you, a lot of health and success. Bob🙂🙏
Hello Bob, thanks for your lesson, its useful and practical in daily life,i have been learning English for few years, and found that hard to remember Vobs, and i found your channel that makes me easy to remember. thx again, btw, i am from Hong Kong
Thank you very much, Professor Bob. I have benefited greatly, as usual. May you Do a lesson about the terminology of wars and conflicts between countries
Oh, no, that bridge! It’s unbelievable that a bridge in that state isn’t repaired or taped off! If it is found here, our local government would be definitely and severely criticized…. It’s amazing to know the differences between areas in the world and it makes me realize how narrow my perspective is. Thank you always!
thank you so much for this movie! I'm off to work in 5minuits😅 I'm working at international kindergarten in Japan. This week we have Halloween lessons. This movie is so helpful for me❤
Thank you for your lesson,it's helpfull.could you make more English courses on a life scenes, such Transport/Traffic/Pharmacy/Hospital/Supermarket and so on. I really like the lesson "Learn english at the hotel" Thank you Bob.

Hey hi Bob, When I saw the subject of this new amazing video, I hesitated to press the start button because I was so anxious about being afraid (I'm joking of course 😂😉) The abandoned house may be less empty at night than you might think 😨👻🐁🦇👽. If one day you hear wolf howls, don't be afraid, it might be me and I'm a gentle wolf, I won't take you for my snack!🤣🐺 One day, we went into the forest in the middle of the night on purpose to listen to the bellowing of the deer 🦌🫎 in the middle of the rutting season in fall, it's super impressive and scary because you think that they are all around you and very close and ready to charge at you. Being in total darkness 🌑 and not being able to see anything, every little noise or crack in the forest makes you jump with fear 🥶. Indeed, it is better not to move too far from cars just in case, these animals during the rut are extremely dangerous! I think the little hum in the cellar is the electrical voltage⚡️from the transformers, don't you think it is? Very big thanks to you Bob, this video was awesome as usual and taught us lots of new words in the field of fear! I adored it! See you soon another time for other adventures...🌻💐👍💙
Deer make the strangest noises during rutting season. Sometimes it's hard to tell that they're actually deer. Also I laughed when you mentioned the sound of the wolf might be you. I hadn't thought of that! 😎🎃👻
I don't know if my words take a place here, it's unbelievable Bob I m siting in the trenches at war of Ukraine and watching your video to keep my knowledge, thanks for great job.
Love the video clip! Reminds me so much of my childhood. As a kid, I used to visit some random places that adults thought were scary. But for me, they were like secret spots. What are you going to be this year for the Halloween Bob? Thanks for the spooky fun lesson :)
Words for me to use more often:
1. Neglected
2. Derelict
3. Haunted
4. Sketchy - dangerous, not safe
5. Creepy - a bit scary, frightening
6. Eerie - strange and frightening
7. Musty - to smell of mold and dampness
8. Well-lit
9. Spooky
10. Run down - in bad shape, worn out
11. Worn out- run down
Great notes! 😎🎃👻
Bizarre
12. better wrap up this part of the lesson

Thanks for sharing.😂 It's funny that you go to spooky places to teach English but scared yourself at the same time. You're excellent.
This is a very exciting lesson teacher Bob! I love this format of using the words at the particular places! 🤙🌻🌞

You make a good point. Most places are nice during the day, it's at night when things start to get a bit scary! 😎🎃👻
Thank you, the topic of this lesson was a pleasant surprise for me hence we do not really have Halloween the way you do. That house was neglected but you could make some use of it!
It was old, and I'm sure it will be torn down soon. I expect it would be too expensive to fix as the foundation is all cracked! 😎🎃👻
@@LearnEnglishwithBobtheCanadian You can be right but every house can be renovated. Effort and expenses,
Unusual presentation of the Halloween lesson) I sent it to the children to watch) Thanks Bob!

The places you showed are not scary, they are breathtaking, beautiful and serene, except for the basement and parking lot.
During the day, yes, at night, you wouldn't catch me there! 😎🎃👻
I am scared of the bridge where you walked. It looks almost worn down. But I am enjoying the wood circumstances.
Great lesson, many thanks for your videos, dear teacher Bob 🌺🌺🌺🙏🙏🙏🙏👍
