7:06 is wrong btw. If the artists would get 30c to 50c nobody would complain. For smaller '(not major label artists) the rates are 0.08c to 0.8c. so not even 1 cent. There is an ongoing discussion between artists for years that we are basically giving away the music for free to promote shows and merchandise. Before 2005-2010 it was the other way around.
Four ways Spotify can still be a service 10 years from now: 1. Putting more ads between songs to generate more ad revenue 2. Limiting free users on how many songs they can stream per day, but offering unlimited streaming to Spotify Premium users 3. Making some songs, artists or albums only available on Spotify Premium 4. Getting bought out by someone like Amazon or Disney
1- Create Original Contet - Music (With upcoming - Major artist to - indie Artists). 2- Better Royalty Model (Pay better). 3- Deleted all these bot playlist and Bots Accounts. 4- Maybe Video stuff like netflix or TH-cam.
Spotify Only makes money 💵 on paper 📄 before Tax BTW most Artists make like 1/4 of a Cent Perstream the Studio or Distribution Company keeps the Lions share by far its why so many Big Artists are or already Left Big Labels to start their own or join a friend's label By Law a Company might own a Recorded version of the Song but can not own the Lyrics or Music 🎶 even if they paid for its creation so artists leave and rerecord a new version (Beyonce, Swift etc!) all did this
