Here's my approach for solving a paper: I start with chemistry and try to solve all the easy questions there within half an hour, which elapses by the time I reach section B. Then I leave section B for a while and go to physics and give it a full 1 hour because physics is my strongest point. Then I come back to chemistry section B and try to solve it in 15 minutes and finally I give the remaining time (around 1hr 30mins) to Maths. The only problem I face is when I see a question that I had already done before and know the concept but still have problems in solving it in the exam hall. I also tend to forget formulae very often which makes me very angry and lose my cool in the exam. I'm not improving a bit i just need revision.
I have been giving mocks since 1st December my score has been gradually increasing in 1st 2 mocks I got around 115 and then the other 2 mocks I got around 120-130 tomorrow I'll give one more mock let's see 🤞
Analyzing mock tests is crucial for improving exam scores, and time management, understanding concepts, and strategic subject tackling are important factors in achieving better results. 1. 00:00 Analyze mocks for improvement by focusing on incorrect/unattempted questions and their solutions, understanding why questions were not solved is key. 1.1 Analyze mocks by focusing on improvement rather than just scores, by checking incorrect/unattempted questions and their solutions. 1.2 Analyze mock exams to improve learning and focus on correct questions to improve scores. 1.3 Understanding why questions were not solved in the paper is the key to analyzing mocks correctly. 2. 03:18 Learn time management for mocks by dedicating specific time to each subject and being flexible in adjusting difficulty levels based on the exam. 2.1 Improve your score by learning time management at both the subject and question level when writing mocks. 2.2 Physics and Chemistry should be targeted for 45-50 minutes each due to the increasing complexity of questions and the potential increase in weightage for certain topics. 2.3 Dedicate at least 80-80 minutes to Maths, manage time effectively, and be flexible in adjusting difficulty levels based on the exam. 3. 06:19 Approach exams with a mindset of seizing opportunities, trust your gut feeling, manage time effectively, and practice word mix and PVA for success. 3.1 In order to excel in exams, it is important to approach questions with a mindset of finding and seizing opportunities, without letting ego get in the way, and to carefully read and understand the question before attempting to solve it. 3.2 Trust your gut feeling when attempting mock exams, and if you're stuck on a question for too long, move on to the next one. 3.3 Solve Physics and Chemistry questions within 3 minutes, and manage time effectively by checking progress every minute. 3.4 Give a minimum of 10 tests, practice word mix and PVA, and attempt the paper in two rounds for the last 15 years. 4. 10:25 Prioritize questions of interest, use mark for review effectively, spend 2-3 hours on first round, apply two-round approach, improve scores by attempting easy and moderate questions first. 4.1 In the first round, prioritize questions of interest, use the mark for review feature effectively, and remove ego when unable to understand a question. 4.2 Spend 2-3 hours on the first round of mock exams to identify and select easy and moderate questions, then review and practice for improvement. 4.3 Using a two-round approach to mock exams can significantly improve scores, with students applying this method at the subject level as well. 4.4 Improve your scores by attempting easy and moderate questions first, using the Rule of Three to manage time better in Section B of the paper. 5. 14:16 Analyze mock exams to identify weak areas, change subject order for better performance, and aim for high accuracy in easy and moderate questions. 5.1 Analyze the paper to see where you got stuck in applying fundamentals, and choose the subject order based on personal preference to maximize scoring potential. 5.2 Change the subject order frequently in mock exams to find your sweet spot and improve performance. 5.3 Check the accuracy of your mock tests, aiming for above 90% for easy questions and above 80% for moderate ones, with a focus on improving accuracy for questions scoring 130 or below. 6. 17:42 Analyze and categorize errors in mock exams to improve performance by identifying and defining types of errors and understanding their root causes. 6.1 Identifying and defining types of errors as silly, conceptual, or random. 6.2 Avoid making silly errors by being mindful of the conditions that lead to them, such as rushing through easy questions and filling up the rough sheet haphazardly. 6.3 Understand the root cause of symptoms instead of blaming everything on silly errors and categorize conceptual errors. 6.4 Analyze and categorize your errors in mock exams to improve your performance. 7. 21:14 Efficiently solving questions within the time limit is crucial for success, analyze your marks to understand where you're spending more time, take breaks, and focus on accuracy and conditional probability to build confidence. 7.1 Efficiently solving questions within the time limit is important for high success rates, as wasting time on incorrect answers leads to zero progress. 7.2 Analyze your marks to understand where you are spending more time and practice performing under time pressure. 7.3 Take three breaks during the mock exam, one after one hour, one after one hour and 30 minutes, and another after 40 minutes to avoid exhaustion. 7.4 Analyze your accuracy in the last hour of mock exams to improve and avoid attempting random questions. 7.5 Analyze your accuracy and conditional probability when solving questions to build confidence. 8. 26:01 Analyze your mocks to improve your score and understand what happened on the day of the paper for better performance in the next exam. 8.1 Analyze your mocks to know yourself better and improve your score, dedicating one and a half hours for the analysis. 8.2 Analyze your mocks on the day of the paper to understand what happened and perform better in the next exam.
Sir pls conduct one free mock test every week before mains Jan attempt .... highly requesting to u sir . As a huge reduction in chem part which was very scoring too...we want a sample of the paper🙏❤️
I follow PCM order. I start with physics trying to maintain a good speed. Since physics sometimes have a few tough qs and is usually more calculative than chemistry, doing chemistry after physics relaxes my mind a bit as IOC is easily solvable... My mind relaxes a bit in chem and then maths which takes a lot of time and energy. I usually leave 20 mins( depending on marked for review qs ) at last to go through a 2nd round.
@tiya7723 almost same but I do maths second as it's dangerous to leave maths for last(time is less ans silly mistakes more). My score in mathongo series ranges from 137-167
Just gave one mock today and I was super nervous being a second dropper. Scored 113 marks with 11 negatives. I even noticed giving 1:20 hour on physics, which shows my lack in revision. But I have a very wierd problem in accuracy, I had almost 80% accuracy in easy questions. 70-80% in tough but only 50-60% in moderate ones. And it's happening in all test formats and subjects. Idk why it's happening and how to fix it
I feel aap moderate question ko jo easy tarike se solve Kiya jata hai woh aap thoda tougher side pe jate ho and than if it doesn't get right toh aap hyper mein aake wrong kardete ho maybe that's would be the case
Good tips. My daughter used these , took lot of practice still could not deliver on all of these , still score improved drastically ( 65 percentile to 82 percentile ) from Jan to Apr
Sir marks app isn't working properly these days, it's taking too much time to open , and sometimes it's freezes while attempting questions. Please have a look on this bug.
Sir there is a problem with me like i just cant differentiate if a question is tough or easy i usually do the ones which i feel comfortable and solve them correctly but sometimes i give a lot of time in them ex 8-9 min. Also after i had given the test i sit and analyse the mock i find out that i didnt attempt a lot of easy questions and gave time and got some tough ones correct. So sir does that mean toughness of question is subjective?
My strategy - i never see pcm isee its a complete paper which means i do all the easy quesn of pcm, then as after time stress ata he so fresh mind se kam se kam easy niptadu .Then i do the moderate quesn .Hard end moment tak dekhta he nhi hu as jee mains me 75 me se toh 45-55 easy, med hota he hota he toh utna sahi se hojae then i check all the marked answer within 5-10 min agar 20-30 min bachta he toh hard/lengthy quesn ke liye pen uthata hu
Sahy h bhai meri bui strategy aisi hi kuch h abhi kuch tests se to 150 ke around aa rahe but abhi aage badhaunga marks ab tests m Anup sir ne bhi badiya tips di use dhyan rakhenge to sahy rahega ..
Apart from the steps sir mentioned , i check the correct Qs also because may be sometimes i get the correct ans by wrong approach , and some Qs may be dubious which i got correct
My defination of mock test analysis is Check the question which you did wrong if theory is not clear then revise it OR if it is silly mistake in calculation I will take care of this and which question i doesn't attempt try to figure out them and solved it
Sir please add keyboard controls for navigating the questions on marks website. Its very tiresome to use the mouse to select the options and go to the next question when you are trying to do lots of Questions. Thankyou
I think your mouse speed is set slow, change the setting in your system, in real exam, the mouse moves really fast and smooth. -I am a dropper so I know.
I gave my first mock today 30th December and got 126!! I gave it without revision or anything just off memory !! Will update on performance after following the tips and revising
The point mentioned on 24:39 is just real happens everytime and thank you for clearing that and mentioning insider problems. i usually don't comment but this video really helped.
very true, i rem a couple of weeks backs during a mock i was left with 30 mins to complete the numerical section of maths, and the time pressure just got the better of me and i was just trying to avoid all the question thinking this will take too long and couldn't solve a single que in the last 30 minutes, rather got a couple of negatives.
thank you much sir i learned a lot from this session on mock test analysis my score from last 2 mock is 120 to 130 but after this i definitely improve my mock score in upcoming mock test by your 10 incredible point on mock analyze which you should delivered in 28 min. THANK YOU SIR FOR THIS AWESOME SESSION ......🙏🙇❤🤍💚
sir got it right in last 1 month i have almost attempted 25-26 pyq mocks but my score in all was stuk to around 150-160 and now i got to know that i was not anylising properly and I WILL FOLLOW THIS AND WILL IMPROVE MY SCORE which will increse automatically by this method . i am using QUIZZER and i love it .
mere mocks mai 30 number tak aare hai bus aur genuienly aesa nhi hai ki mai padha hi nahi u haa y bhi hai ki mai inconsisteent raha h but padha toh hu now syllabus bhi 50: 60 percent hua hoga mera aur math ai toh bilkul zero hai but fir bhi 30 toh nahi aaney chahiye how can i score my marks any suggestions
I analyze the mock test in the following ways: I see each and every question after the test, there are sometimes a few questions which I am able to solve and get an answer yet I am doubtful, if I see those quesitons in the the correct ones, I understand that my approach is correct. Next I move on to the incorrect questions. I get questions wrong only because I solved them wrong or the concept wasn't very much clear to me. I have attempted the question, then it means that I know to solve it but I could do it properly. Incorrect questions are mostly because I sometimes get a few things wrong or don't read the questions properly. Then I move on to the unattempted questions. They are mostly those questions whose chapters aren't strong for me or sometimes they are the questions in whose I am unable to get an anwer which is correct or matches with the options. I reattempt the incorrect answers and see the right approach and try to see where I got wrong and note it down, and then I try solving unattempted questions and understand the concepts given in them. The unattempted questions helps me in building up my weak concepts and make me realise that there is some concept which needs a revision.
Sir our coaching institute is conducting 1 mock test everyday but I require atleast one more week to get a perfect glimpse of all chapter in pcm, even we don't have time to analyse the mock paper but they are dumping questions on us what should I do please give an answer
There is some problem with marks app as now it is lagging too much. It require so much to load the question. It waste too much time. and sometimes we have to reload the website. So, sir please fix it. as soon as possible
Sir I was wrong I was revising by video lectures( 1hr revesion vdeos) and thinkung that I will attept mock only after revising 70 percent of my total completed syll. , due to which i was not able to revise and not to cover my remaing chapters ( specially whole maths is remaining ) now I will gove mocks and then revise by my notes and formula sheets
I m only able to do 100-150 pyq per day i m scared i m not be able to cover the syallabus, in 11th i thought i would easily clear jee mains now i m scared .
One day i was not feeling it still trying to solve pyqs i was so bad i did only 30 questions of matrics in mains bucket which took me 3 hrs although all i had 100% accuracy but still i was too slow it did not matter
sir because of school papers i am not able to manage time for revision and mock tests like ....can't do pyqs revision kyuki aadha time to theory yaad karne mein chala jata hai baaki chizo ka time manage nhi ho para
Sir, I have one issue,if mein kam attempt karta hoon toh merii accuracy Kam hojati aur jab zyada solve Karu toh accuracy badhti hai.. mere coaching ke sir ne kaha ki jitna ho sake kam attempt karo.. and woh log dekhte ki hum kitna attempt karte toh if we increase our attempt toh they try to force us to do less and less what should I do sir,and sir merko maths mein Kam time lagta Mera physics weak hai so kya mein physics ko zyada waqt de sakta as mera maths decently hojata quick time mein
Sir maths me bs dikkt aaa rhi h ki kuch qs aate hue bs isliye nai ho rhe ki glt approch lga de rhe itne tarike h qs ko krne ke pressure me jo pehla aprroch dimag me aa rha whi lgane lg rhe plese sir any reply on this

My strategy - i never see pcm isee its a complete paper which means i do all the easy quesn of pcm, then as after time stress ata he so fresh mind se kam se kam easy niptadu .Then i do the moderate quesn .Hard end moment tak dekhta he nhi hu as jee mains me 75 me se toh 45-55 easy, med hota he hota he toh utna sahi se hojae then i check all the marked answer within 5-10 min agar 20-30 min bachta he toh hard/lengthy quesn ke liye pen uthata hu
thats waht eduniti sir told.......

Apart from the steps sir mentioned , i check the correct Qs also because may be sometimes i get the correct ans by wrong approach , and some Qs may be dubious which i got correct
My defination of mock test analysis is
Check the question which you did wrong if theory is not clear then revise it OR if it is silly mistake in calculation I will take care of this and which question i doesn't attempt try to figure out them and solved it

I think your mouse speed is set slow, change the setting in your system, in real exam, the mouse moves really fast and smooth. -I am a dropper so I know.

very true, i rem a couple of weeks backs during a mock i was left with 30 mins to complete the numerical section of maths, and the time pressure just got the better of me and i was just trying to avoid all the question thinking this will take too long and couldn't solve a single que in the last 30 minutes, rather got a couple of negatives.

Sir should we focus on the "number" of questions we are attempting. (Should we try to increase it? And how)
1 test 178 2 test 173 3 test 123 then i am here
I analyze the mock test in the following ways:
I see each and every question after the test, there are sometimes a few questions which I am able to solve and get an answer yet I am doubtful, if I see those quesitons in the the correct ones, I understand that my approach is correct.
