They are all siblings. Started in 2015 and they are:
Melody Cristea (born December 27, 2001) - vocals, bass, flute
Samuel Cristea (born March 21, 1999) - lead guitar, backing vocals
Abigail Cristea (born February 24, 2000) - drums
Ethan Cristea (born August 24, 2006) - bass, additional rhythm guitar
Justin Cristea (born October 27, 2007) - keyboard

Melody's voice is like sweet honey over barbed wire. So angelic at times but with a sprinkle of badass growl mixed in. Her range is just crazy too.

Yes, a family band (Sam on guitar 24, Abigail on drums 23, Melody vocals and flute 21, Ethan on bass 18 and Justin on keyboards 16). Check out Mars (live in Cumming, GA) one of their originals starts with a killer guitar solo by Sam.
LILIAC has been doing this ten years now as the Cristeas and LILIAC! Suggest chronological order as I have to see the genius of this family from the very beginning. Stick to "Official covers and original releases” for best audio and video. And you will never be blocked as this independent unsigned band by choice welcome your reactions.

Yes, all siblings. Melody lead singer, Abigail is the drummer, Sam on lead guitar. Sorry but I have no idea who the other two brothers are. Her belts are wild. They are entertaining. The drummers smile is amazing.

Yes they are a family band . Melody is the middle child if you will at only 21 years old. Her scream has become almost a trademark and staple implanted someplace in nearly every song. Her vocal range is bordering on the rediculous lol. You really should go back to their beginnings and early covers of crazy train, holy diver, and so many more, some arguably better than the originals, and watch their progression over the last several years. You mentioned you thought she would be able to growl. Well, I would say check out their newest album and a song called "Madness" . You will not be disappointed. Thanks for giving them an awesome review . You will be impressed with anything you watch from them.

First reaction I've seen from you guys. It was fun! New sub here now. You said you reacted to Carousel and this is the second Lilac vid you've watched. You obviously already realize that Mel is a force of nature with that voice, and you clearly appreciated Sam's guitar work. I was also happy to hear you mention Aby on drums. If you liked this, you HAVE to watch their live version of Mars. Sam will melt your faces off with the opening guitar solo, and Mel is... well... Mel. Aby's personality shines through, and you get to see a bit more from Ethan (bass) and Justin (keyboard). Great video! Have fun!
"Madness" is a heavier side of Liliac. And yes she does a little bit of growling.
Melody's signature banshee scream is becoming a feature on many of Liliac's playlist both on originals and tribute covers, try Whitestripes SEVEN NATION ARMY or Joan Jett's HATE MYSELF for loving you both better than the originals or you could check out DANCING IN THE DARK from their first original album . However she is much more than a scream she is one of the most versatile singers out there who amazes me with every new release . It's interesting your comment on Melody sounding like a guitar be cause if you listen you will notice that every guitar solo seems to lead in on the same high note that Melody backs out of her part on . So, what do ya wanna know about Liliac?
In 2021, I saw them 4 times in 4 states.
I've got all the stuff signed. I've won a guitar from their raffle. Melo (lead singer, 3rd from oldest) painted a Seraphim on it and it's so pretty. She is so talented.
Aby, the drummer, just got married. So, they have a temp for now who can really drum too.
Sam (lead guitar, vocals) is the oldest at 24. Abigail (drummer) is 23.
Melody (lead vocals) is 21
Ethan (bass) is 16
Justin (keyboards) 14
And, I could be off by a year on their ages. Lol
Their dad is Florin and mom is Ninetta (sp?). They're both Romanian and met in the states.
The band used to be called by their last name The Cristea Family (sp?) and they live in Cali and sang at the Santa Monica pier.
They now live in Woodstock, GA
Wow, 4 times in 4 states in 2021 - I got to see them in Dickenson ND that year, then in Great Falls MT on the Moonlight tour the next year. Sadly didn't make it to any this year, but hope to catch them when they return to Montana next summer - only a day's drive away and always worth it.

I just caught this one. MeloDia main inspiration is DIO. She found him at 15. She has always sang with her rasp and growls, however with the new album and a few live performances I have heard a little harsh these days. Vinny Appice has said many times that she is the reincarnation of a female DIO. Check out her singing Country Girl with him live. Their first EP, which is where this is from, they have a 2019 live with Mars. That is a 19 yr old MeloDia. If you close your eyes you can imagine it to be a DIO song before she sings. And check out her DIO movements. They Busked on the Santa Monica pier for 5 years at an early age tillbcrowds got too big. Yes, they are a family. Nice reaction. Peace. Stay safe. God Speed.
