@notntusay Someone whose sister knew one of the band (Leo I think) sent it to me. I don't think it was meant for public consumption, which makes it all the better.
real time, no edit, miming to audio tape... very well done, highly amusing... great tune. Good practise for a live gig. Anyone here seriously thinks that was anything other than a mime is deluded... but by golly, they were absolutely bang on to the millisecond. Respect. thanks for posting.
I wonder if they knew the significance of what they shot at the time...prob not. Amazing video...rare..truly a treat and real artists at work.. Not often you capture pure good chemistry and get to see these guys in their natural habitat...almost felt like a fly on the wall watching.
Quality - takes me back. Time to re hang the old B.A.D. Poster back up. Took my brother to see 'em for his 16th and now my son is 15. Many thanx Heston 4 posting. Was due 2go see Dreadzone last October in desperate effort to get a B.A.D. buzz bak - but they Cancelled. Scotland too cold. Will look out for Carbon Silicon.
Saw the original line up tour the First album. Some Excellent Gig. I still have the ticket Stubb number 101 and my Clash Ticket Stubb is also number 101. All coincidental Links to The Clash Strummers old Band The 101rs and The Clash Boxset Ghetto Blaster tape counter stopped at number 101
One of the best films ive seen for a while. I loved going to see them live and its great to hear that they are getting back together. Ace thanks for posting. playhappy
I just came across this, wow, thanks for sharing! That must have been some amazing weed because even I'm feeling it 😆. He could barely get up at the end!
This song as about Richard "Ricky" Kasso (March 29, 1967 - July 7, 1984), also known as The Acid King, murdered 17-year-old acquaintance Gary Lauwers in Northport, Long Island, New York on June 16, 1984. Two other teens, Jimmy Troiano and Albert Quinones, were present at the murder, which took place in the Aztakea Woods of Northport while all four were high on what they believed (and was reported) to be mescaline but was most likely either PCP or LSD
this is crazy. i was 10 and lived blocks away from that kid. going to that playground with all the creepy satan graffiti. dead dogs in the woods. then that murder happened. they used to drive to the bronx and buy loads of pcp. which i think at 17 would fuck you up much more than acid. but mixed with acid, feeling like nobody cares. etc. kasso was way past insane in a sense. but the whole thing is just sad now. people still dont want to talk about it there.
They could of also gone by the name: "THE MASSTA GROOVSTAS", These chaps were the BEST thing i heard on the radio as a kid and even better now. They Holds Up. BIG TIME!
@tmschafer this is before the caps. Of course this depending on your geographic location as such as the vid is in 1984. But in TX. I didn't see any turned up caps, just backwards ones at the time.
Jonesy. He kicked Strummers arse you know. Told him to Fuck Off. Jonesy had BAD planned. Pity The Clash MkII weren't so mad. And the rest, as they say Folks, is history.
@Heston68 actually it's a take on the ricky kasso event where he and his friend stabbed to death another kid.he told the kid to say that he loved satan."macho me with pimply skin"
Hahahaa Love it ! Dancing round the lounge... Party down !!! Rock the house !!! Get down, Burn the cat ??? The hardcore life is where it's at !!! Beware of sudden impact... More dancing round the lounge...
OK, great music but there are Keyboards and lead guitar solos I don't see anyone playing. when the drummer stands up to dance the drums still sound but he's not playing them...
Cant get over how cool and rare this video is. The B.A.D. in their natural habitat.
Jesus, I just can't stop watching these. Definitely one of the twenty best things on TH-cam. Cheers for putting this up.
@notntusay

Mick looks like he's had an E
They all look like they had whatever it was!
Know summit? When I watch these BAD vids I don't have to think about the lyrics. I just go into autopilot mode and sing along.
@notntusay Yes, the song is a satire on fans of Heavy Metal and their fondness for drugs, mysticism etc

@LolaZanna He is crazy. That's why I love him!
gret song!..great post punk!
Did they do this before or after recording the album track? The entire album belongs in the Smithsonian.
Before, this is December 1984.
Reminds me of Talking Heads. :)
does this count as working from home?
@ James Gordon Roland SH-101
Yeah, it ain't the album track but still pre-recorded and mimed to.
Don Letts comes in a bar too soon on the synth, then has a "oops" moment ...
Ho. Lee. Shit. THANK you.
freeze at 4:25. I think Mick shit his pants!
Funny as hell. Punk rockers lmfao I guess that’s why the guys are having so much fun
OK, great music but there are Keyboards and lead guitar solos I don't see anyone playing. when the drummer stands up to dance the drums still sound but he's not playing them...
Luchy guy behind the drum married hot Patsy Kensit.
Actually it is the guy behind the camera who married Patsy
gianca60 nice! hot! is she still hot?
@@thaddeusjameson500 unfortunately no as she moved to Antarctica and is feeling the cold
Who is filming? Dan Donovan?
Yes.
oh f*"% WOW
Where did you acquire this?
Someone whose sister knew Leo sent it to me. Leo had gave it to her with some other BAD stuff.
who's miming? this is nothing like the album track, so what could they mime to?
Love BigAudio but this aint one of my favourite tracks, why mime?
Don Letts gives it away on 30 seconds
This isn't timeless, it's a joke
Fabulous!
