Thanks for this.. I have a question. So, I went through this to create a name. And then found out name was spelled wrong and had to correct. I could not figure out how to just fix/click in to retype the the name. I had to delete the entire thing and start over. Is there an easier way?

what do i do if i dont see the 3d when i right click on the layer. my photoshop is up to date

they've move the button in the 3D option at the top menu bar. Click that and you'll see the "New 3D Extrusion From Selected Layer"

The 3d extrusion option doesn't show when I right click on ther txt layer. :(

@@vidis_art Probably have to use something like Blender (which is free) to make 3D text. Really stupid of Adobe to turn off the 3D text feature - it's one of the reasons why I bought the licence in the first place!! They've fucked over their customers.

@@vidis_art Apparently all the new 2024 versions (version "25") now exclude 3D (Adobe wants you to migrate to a new 3D specific tool that only takes 6 months to learn). If you want to get the easy 3D editing capabilities back, you have to uninstall your latest v25, and install the last v24 (v24.7.3). You do this is the main app window of CreativeCloud. In the PhotoShop app window, hunt around for the Uninstall option. Do it. Then hunt around for "Install Other Versions". I did it, got the 3D back. Guess I'll be using this old version from now on... happy Adobe's "allowing" this... for now.
