      I found a rock up ōwhango while I was hunting. It's got what looks to be a tooth or claw with a price of bone next to it. I ts also full of shells so may just be a piece of that although none of the other shells in the concretion have a porus look.

    Wow Morne, that was fantastic.
    The calm explanation and music was mesmerizing.while watching was hypnotic.
    You have the patience of a rock man. 200 hours of hunching over working must be backbreaking but the result is worth every second.

      It is pretty hard work and can be uncomfortable, but I usually listen to some podcasts and just go into a zen mode 😂

      Stretch, rest and have some water every 52min brother (theres science behind that). Be careful of your back, you only have one.
      Mines buggered so I'm speaking from the hard lessons I've had to learn. Nerve pain is no joke.
      Don't mean to sound like an old lady.

    Brilliant commentary. This was an amazing feat, to release the crab from the concretion. Appreciate that you spent the time to video the process and give us the insight of your process. I have so much respect for your artistry and devotion to your knowledge, work, and craft... especially 200+ hours. Magnificent!

    It must feel so fulfilling to know that 12 million years passed just for you to be the one to finally reveal the product of all that time. I mean, humans weren’t even close to having evolved when that crab was alive, and now all the day down the line and millions of generations later, out of alllllll the people you’re the one who gets to expose that crab to light again! I just think that’s so cool to think about.

    These videos with commentary are so much better!
    I love them all, don't get me wrong, but I've found myself wanting commentary since this is a field I am completely unfamiliar with.
    As awesome as seeing the fossils is, you have very valuable knowledge as well.

    This is amazing, I came over after seeing your videos on shorts and I was wondering how you got the crabs out! I absolutely love fossils, rocks and minerals of all kinds. ive found a few smaller fossils on a beach near where I live northern England but nothing like this 🤩

      I found a tiny crab and used an electric engraver to expose it a bit, then I got a small compressor and my first air scribe 😀

      It's very loud! Yeah, I wear hearing protection and a respirator when I work on fossils
