Enjoy your new adventures! Thank you for the good advice. Weather looks good in Mexico! We love living in Alaska but like to escape in the deep winters down to Arizona and California. We will be doing a haul trip up the Alcan next month, so this was very helpful.
That’s was my 7th time on the hwy it never gets old. There is something magical about it. Thanks for your amazing comments. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything!!
New subscriber here.. I've only watched a couple of videos so far but great content, and you are a nice couple. Can't wait to see the rest of what you have posted.
Hi Adam stumbled onto your channel because I am planning on driving to Anchorage, AK from Bozeman, MT at the end of February. Quick question do you think the temperatures will be what you experienced around this time? And should I still get winter tires for traveling the AlCan at this time?
Thanks for writing we moved to Alaska from Red Lodge. I LOVE Montana! I still have a 406 number. The temperatures we experienced were record setting in some places. It was very odd and rare for us to see that. No I do not think you will see that. But you could. You will be in the negatives for sure. So I strongly recommend a block heater for your car. Yes legally the tires are required but 100% they make a massive difference. You will be driving in lots of ice during that time. Plus if you will be living in Alaska you can use them until May 1st then back in again in October so it won’t be a waste.
Do you have all your stops for gas and lodging listed somewhere? Waiting to hear if I got the job in Alaska. If I do I will be driving second week of January 2024z
