The thrust of the government is in employment generation and new projects are avenues to the same," Chatterjee said adding that it is heartening that Bengal continues to be the investment destination, even at a time when the country is passing through a grim Covid situation.

প্রশ্নে কোন ভুল নেই । তফাতটা চিন্তার পরিধিতে। সেই মহামান্য গোখলের উক্তির যা বদল ঘটেছে । মানে বাংলা আজ যা ভাবে, কাল সারা ভারত ভাবে তার উল্টো । ধারাটার শুরু বাম আমল থেকেই যাদের প্রয়োজন ছিল সর্বহারাদের কারণ সচ্ছল জন হলে সরকারের কাছে হাত পাতা, মিটিং মিছিলে যোগদান কোনটাই সম্ভব নয়। অতএব সর্বহারা অর্থাৎ বেকার অভাবী তৈরি সবার আগে । ষাটের দশকে সেই সুবোধ মুখার্জির ঘেরাও আন্দোলন ছিল পঃবাংলার শিল্পের কফিনে প্রথম পেরেক যা অনেকের কাছে বিস্মৃত । পরবর্তীতে শুধু বদল হয়েছে ধারায় । যোগ হয়েছে সিন্ডিকেট ও কাটমানির । আর আবেগসর্বস্ব বাঙালীদের ঠিক জায়গায় সুড়সুড়ি দিলে যে কেল্লাফতে গত 2 রা মে আর একবার প্রমাণ হল। নিজেদের রাজ্য, স্বার্থ চুলোয় যাক মোদীর গদী ওল্টানো চাই । ওদিকে অন্য রাজ্যেগুলিতে প্রতি মাসে নতুন শিল্প গড়ার খবর। এখন নতুন আবার এক খবর চালু । টাটারা পঃবাংলায় স্বাগতম । তাদের সঙ্গে নাকি কোনদিন বিরোধ ছিল না । শুনলে মনে হয় টাটা বোধহয় সদ্য নার্সিংহোমে পয়দা হয়েছেন । তবে কথাটা শুনে টাটার কি মনে হয়েছিল জানা নেই তবে সেদিন আলবাত যে বাতকম্ম পেয়েছিল তা বলাই বাহুল্য ।
