    It’s wonderful you are keeping Comanche language alive! So many languages lost by colonisation. I’m Scottish and I would love to learn my native Scots Gaelic !

    thanks! as a child I grew up wishing I was one of the native americans, so all my time was used to collect feathers and antlers I found outside and make bows and arrows out of branches. I got the chance to ride horses almost everyday and today I am the lucky owner of TWO horses!

      @@kristoomuch3228 which did you use bc I’m Comanche but have no “proof” bc my great grandmother’s tribe was murdered and she was forced to take a European name.

      I must say I'm bit surprised they managed to narrow it down to the tribe.
      How they differed specifically between let's say Comanche and Shoshone.

      @@szymonlechdzieciol There are words used differently amongst the English language as well, like between English, Americans and Australians. The same goes for the Spanish language.

    Thank you! The first words I’m learning in our language! I grew up on our “rival” reservation mixed race so didn’t get to be included in so many things relating to our culture. This is so wonderful to find. ❤

    I am learning the Comanche language, but from what I learned on one of the Comanche lessons, it said “Nuh Suh Ah Tsa Uuh Kah Mah Kit was for I love you. Is this just for romantic “I love you” and the other a family/friend way of saying it? Look forward to your response. Thank you.

    What a ridiculous spelling system is that? There is nice and consistent Comanche orthography out there, why not use it instead of this nonsense?

    • @iamndn2942
      @iamndn2942  8 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      +Ivan Ivanov i know our alpahabet very well....but most others dont.. and what im using is called phonetic spelling, what the word sounds like.... for those who do not understand our alpahabet.

    • @ivanivanov5530
      @ivanivanov5530 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      IAMNDN
      Excuse me, but that's ridiculous, too. English spelling is notoriously famous throughout the world for its unbelievably inconsistent orthography. Why on earth mar Comanche by those obsolete principles of spelling? As I've said Comanche already has very well designed orthography, and everybody who are interested in learning the language has at least to become acquainted with it. Besides that, English sound system is very different from Comanche and therefore it's simply impossible to properly convey Comanche sounds by means of English orthography.
      P. S. Sorry, if my words were too harsh. I just want the wonderful Comanche language to live and thrive. But to me bringing the English spelling chaos into the Comanche reviving endeavour seems not just unproductive but downright harmful.
      P. P. S. Best regards from Russia.
