Alright, I feel like this is really important to say. I've literally never enjoyed battle reports. They tend to be dry, adlibbed in all the ways they shouldn't be and run at a snails pace. This series has been the first one I've really enjoyed. The short hand of showing the unit, attack roll, wounds, defense dice and removing units as a short span with a quick sound effect is very effective. I really think if you keep the perspective on the table like that with some short narration to talk about the scenario and decisions you could further streamline it. Either way, well done. You've got my like, subscribe and comment. You earned it. Keep it up and I'll keep watching.
They were a different model, the ones they are using are DSD-1 dwarf spider droids, wich could be used in conjunction with Homing spider droids. The ones in commando were an elite or heavy model, even more deadlier than the normal one
I dont even play legion but this looks dope af. It actually makes me care about star wars for thr first time in like 10 years. I'm also drinking every time I hear "Rodger"
Luckily we (my son (15yo) and I) didn't have to wait so long for this, we just got into Legion (got two core sets + a couple of upgrades) last week. This was truly epic and inspirational 😍👍
the narrative, the custom campaign mechanics, the production value, the terrain, the paintwork on the minis!!!!! everything about this series is amazing, please do more of these with legion one day.. i'd love a similar series with empire vs. rebels on the new Legion rules. thanks for the great content 🙂
Never written a comment before, just writing this to tell you I watched alot of battle reports, 40k star wars legion mostly and this series is so much fun! the best part is your fun enthusiastic attitude. please do more!
Solid GOLD! you've done it again! The battle sounds and character voices make it so much more immersive. I dont mind that the explosion visual effects from the first one are not present in this one, it's a totally acceptable trade-off for being able to give us more of these overall. You guys are a big part of what is so good about these as well. you have a great chemistry, and it really comes through that you're both having a blast playing the game. especially when things dont go your way due to dice rolls, neither of you skip a beat, you are both still hopeful that anything can happen and dont let that disappointment show in a negative way. I think both of you do very well at appreciating the narrative unfolding, whether it went your way or not. winning isnt everything, and you've embraced that in the most positive, constructive way... the absence of narration is just as important, too! when the cut scenes of activations that are 'less-than-eventful' go quickly, and you explain whats happening visually, it feels like the game (and video) is moving at a great pace... again, thank you for making these, and i am very excited for more videos of this caliber!
Thank you so much Peter for a really lovely comment! Yeah Jacko and I always have the manta when we are gaming together that we are two spectators simply watching a game unfold before us and we just sit back and enjoy the story :)
This series is just too good! As a fan of spider droids I love that you included them as homebrew units. The editing is amazing as always. I cannot wait for the next one to come out!
Part 2! Hell yeah! Jacko played like an absolute beast! Very well played and maybe a few lucky rolls (that final rally). Such a great battle report! nailed the narrative style and really managed to get the engagement for a non-Legion player!
Man I feel like jocko (maybe not how you spell his nickname) is such an underrated person in these videos! I love all the friends you bring to play but I relate to his dry sense of humor and just matter of fact personality! Love it and love y’all’s videos!
Rex shouldn't have taken the saber and lightning at once to be fair. Versatile allows you to shoot the lightning out of melee, it doesn't make it a melee weapon.
This is the best advertisement for Legion that I have seen! Epic battle, incredible terrain, wonderful filming and editing, and a really nice scenario that looks like a ton of fun. Keep it up, and thank you!
Absolutely awesome batrep, that was like watching a tabletop version of the movie battle lol. The laat explosions were a great special rule. Looking forward to part III.
Check out the campaign rules here guys: www.zorpazorp.com/shop/the-battle-for-geonosis-campaign Important Notes: - Republic BARCs have the turbo boost campaign stratagem, increasing their move value to speed-3. - For Count Dooku's One Pip command card, the Versatile keyword let's you use a ranged attack while in combat, but you are still restricted to it's own rules which is range 1-2 and not red combat symbol. So Dooku would not have been able to lightning Rex in combat. But he would have killed him anyway so no impact on the game luckily! - Guardian can only be used against ranged attacks but luckily when Rex used it in combat due to esteemed leader, it didn't change the outcome!
Absolutely amazing report!!! You have nailed it, I never been so enthralled with a game I was not playing in. Please do more like this! Dooku for the win!!!
Damn you outdid yourselves in this one. It was damn near cinematic and played out almost exactly like a Clone Wars episode. I do hope there isn't that much time between now and the next episode but they're genuinely worth the wait! Are there any plans to do the Original Trilogy campaigns with Legion?
Loved it!! I though the beer bug stopped you from making episode 2. Glad to see it!! Great terrain and paint on the minis, great presentation of the battle, love the added audio, makes the game that much better.

Awesome battle report. Probably my favourite one yet! Such a dynamic conflict. Really enjoying the home brew rules and narrative campaign. Brilliant editing. Totally nailed the aesthetic.
This was fantastic beginning to end! Everything looked great, sounded great, great editing. How the game played out was so cinematic as well and felt true to Star Wars. Obi-wan sweeping in, Dooku throwing droids away to slow his pursuer. It was epic! Awesome job. You have a new sub that's for sure.

Awesome work and a beautifully done battle report! I will definitely be trying this campaign out! I could be wrong on this but I think when Dooku went in on Rex, his Force Lightning would not be applied to the melee dice pool. Yes he was given Versatile, but that does not allow ranged attacks to be used as melee attacks, however it does allow Dooku to use the ranged attack while in melee. I could be wrong but you can double check. Regardless, well done!
Yeah you are spot on! Even though the weapon gains versatile it doesn't change the fact that the weapon range doesn't allow it to be ussed in melee. So he can use the lighting from melee at a unit who isn't in melee, like the the nearby commandoes, but he should have been able to target Rex. Lucklily he killed him outright with the blade haha
Perfect balance between narration, banter and rules explanations, not to mention the stunning terrain and minis! Those and the sound effects make this come to life like nothing I’ve seen before! I really enjoy the series and look forward to episode 4 and beyond =) Just a bummer I can’t find an LAAT as detailed as yours. Also thank you for providing the rules for free, I’m going to try and play a narrative campaign as well. May the force be with you! =)

I have an idea for an episode. Been waiting all the way back since August for a continuation of the first. Loved the first one and by far I am loving the second one, keep up the good work, easily the best legion gameplay out there. Looking forward to what you do in the future.
Glad you enjoy it! So much mooooooore to come haha
Best report ever!! The first was incredible and the second awesome!! Waiting for the next episode!! Glorious job my friend, hope you keep it on : )
Glad you enjoyed it, SOOOO much more planned stay tuned!
Enjoying the campaign so far, I generally hate bat-rep videos but you guys are killing it!
Thanks Jason!! I'm the same, so I make stuff I'd actually watch :)
Man thank you for these videos I love the content, the editing, the presentation, all of it! Desperate to get in on Legion now but the cost/time commitments make that hard, so your channel may be my only fix for the foreseeable! Appreciate it’s hard to say but how regular will these videos be?
Thanks Will, glad I can sort you out. Hard to say but I'm going to try and get part three done by the end of Jan to build a bit of momentum :)
Good luck mate happy new year
"We're gonna call him Barky".
Me, an intellectual: "You mean Obi-Barc Kenobi"
Hahahaha I think you mean OBarci!
@@Zorpazorp aaaand that's why I don't like being a non-native english-speaker.
Does make more sense now that I see it written, actually.
Jokes aside, great video as always
@@simonemastrovito6315 I'm just joking my dude haha! Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing video, most entertaining battle report on youtube in my humble opinion.
Wow, thanks!
I can't believe how long its been since the first episode. But also it would have taken me a year to edit this. 👍🏻👍🏻
Haha cheers man
Jesus this is impressive. Great work with the unique units and cards
Thanks a ton!
Really great video, you can tell the amount of time and care that was put into it, it really paid off! Also loved how close the fight was, won't spoil the winner but worth watching until the end!
Thank you so much Mike!! PArt three JUST LAUNCHED! th-cam.com/video/rZ_MTT65M-0/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Zorpazorp
another great bat rep! This one was exciting to watch as I build my 332 Ahsoka Tano regiment.
Part three almost done mate!
Incredible! Great effort putting this video together!
Glad you enjoyed it Sam :)
Fantastic battle report, your effort is much appreciated - Thanks Lachie!
My pleasure Iain!
Wow! Even better than the last one! Thank you for making this it was very entertaining, this is the kind of stuff I wish I could do with my miniatures.
Glad you enjoyed it Samue :)!
Thanks Zorpazorp! That blue Commander Cody an other edits were great! Keep up the great content! The occasional Battlefront 2 (2005) and Republic Commando voice clips gave me so much nostalgia! Everyone of your fantastic videos is better than the last! For the Republic! Suggestions for season 2: underwater combat? Delta Squad? Fives and Echo?
DUUUUUDE how cool would that be haha! But you can bet that Fives and Echo will amke an appearance on Kamino!! Thanks man glad you loved it!
