Dariusz Sokolowski did this route in DTS style (no figure 4 and 9) and graded it D16 for such, that why it feels easier using yaniros. Cheers

Hi. Grade usually reflects the easiest way to climb a line. I think it's so cool that he did it that way but nobody forced him to choose a harder way. Anyway usually those who climb both styles realize that the hypothetical two scales run pretty parallel, so in any case it wouldn't be considered 16. I do a lot of DTS too so from what I can guess knowing the route, it's hardly to be considered more than 15+ cause it's not that harder than the adjacent d15. On Parallel world, every 4 to 6 moves there's a very good rest which eliminates continuity. That's my opinion for now but I'll know better once I will have tried in that style

First I don’t practice dry tooling. As a spectator I found DTS more impressive but I feel it’s mean to despise such a hard ascent because of using Yaniro.

@@cinehastag4354 grades and styles are never ending (and often ego based) discussions.
With my comment, I didn't mean to belittle your success, but I just wanted just add this interesting details of FA.

@@7ules_ DTS is just different style, which is a matter of preference. I like DTS more, because it require more precise footwork (which is more similar to normal climbing).
With my comment I didn't mean to belittle this video success, but just add this detail, that FA was in different style and graded for such that is why It "might" feel different with 4s and 9s.

@@tathtath you're right. Got it. And I also think that everyone should climb the way he likes. I just don't appreciate when people grade routes based on a style. It would be like choosing to don't use heel hooks in rock climbing and grade routes accordingly. And then also who cares it's just drytooling. (But I think it matters a little when you're talking about the hardest routes in the world. It deserves accuracy.)
