Modern-ancient unifies the generations of minds and hands making marks and working with paint.
The elements have definition without abruptness.
I may be wrong, but suspect few artists before you had thought of overprinting collage in this way.
    Thanks as always, friend Fulton.

having the collage pieces as an underlayer makes them seem more acceptable 😉

Really enjoying the chine colle applications. This technique along with the soft colors are giving very in depth textures and soothing results. As always thanks for sharing. 👌👌👌

Beautiful and interesting to watch your warm up exercises, the sheets are interesting in their own right. I like how your process can give such detailed and textured results.

The marks you are referring to at 21:40 are called dendritic marks and are from the tension of the paper pulling away from thick paint. They can be very effective and fun, which is why children like to put paints on a piece of paper , fold it, smush it and open it back up! I really like the mixture of the Naples yellow and Parchment, very soft and warm, I think just the right amount of black transferred too!🇨🇦

As I have just begun monoprinting myself, I am amazed at the variety of textures which you manage to “coax” from your materials!Particularly enjoyed the initial first layer brayer marks - very cool!

Thank you for all your well done videos of your Experiments. I love to hear your voice. The vibes help me to slow down. It's Therapie for me. There is not to much talking. I also like the music and the volume of them both.
Your prints I like the most, also your scribbeling and technics of brayering and mixing nice colourkombis on the plate and the balance of your Art.
Allways interestet what's comming in the next video. 😊
greatings from germany and a 👍 and abo.
I hope I'll start again to print with my first and only Gellyplate 8× 10 inch till today . (wish to have a bigger one)
You inspire me and make me feel, I have to do it verry soon...😉
cause I rememer, it is like a drug to use the plate and it can bring so much succsess and happyness.
Maybe you would also like to use something floral to make a print. I love to do that couse of the details, a gelliplate can bring ( first class in the gostprints) 😍

Nice results in the print, but is this technique truly chine colle’? It appears to be more just collage. Chine colle’ involves a bonding to surface, usually but not only, with pressure where the image is melded with the support.

thecuriousprintmaker.co.uk/basic-chine-collee/ that's exactly what I'm doing, except with a gelli plate without a printing press. A rose by any other name.

I love your work. What kind & where did you get the paper used for the warm up exercises? I just got a 12x14 gel plate - would that paper be good for learning to use this size plate?

    • @artwhisperer88
      @artwhisperer88  ปีที่แล้ว +1

I like to use gift tissue paper, white and black from Amazon for the warm ups. They make great collage material. For your new plate you can get student watercolor paper in a pad form.
