Wow, you finally taught me what Wikipedia and many other websites couldn't teach me -- What the sideways M means. Thank you so much! It's been on my mind for the past few years and it took me that long to find your video. You deserve many more subscribers. P.S. Welcome to 1000 subscribers soon. :) I'm your 996th I believe. Shouldn't take long!
Wow, I wish I could give you a cookie right now and a pat on the back! I am terrible at math and in less than 4 minutes I decided to learn a new subject in math and did VERY WELL thanks to your tutorial. Very good explanation. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the re-teach! I just passed Calculus 3 and some proof courses....and yet, I STILL forget how this friggin' Summation notion is supposed to be read haha. Bless your soul!
A quick google search yielded this video and my son happened to be wearing a T-shirt with the very same joke you opened with 🙂. Your straight, clear technique is perfect and you can chalk up another win. Thank you - you are one of those "Thousand points of light" that President Bush celebrated years ago.
wow a for loop (n = 0; top; n + 1) {initial value ; end point; increment value} in mathematical notation... I knew it summed things up but never saw the application... now I know, Thanks! Hope you have a great day & Safe Travels!
That's an excellent question! Yes, always increment by one. There might be exceptions, but that would be indicated by something at the bottom of the summation symbol.
Im 9 years old, sadly diagnosed with a testicular problem but will heal in 3-5 days. But aside from that, im on a trip with math and this helped out alot thanks
I'm 48 years old. This is the first time I've learned what it does. I'm floored! It's so much simpler than I thought! Thank you.
38 here, but same "wow" effect. Can't believe I lived this long without knowing how insanely simple it really was
AHH YES I FINNALY HAVE THE POWER!
nice pun
I'm glad to meet you as a Blender user.
POWERPoint?
@@ritageraghty4404 I use blender to make juice everyday. You're not special.

Same! lol.
As a Greek person it hurts that you called it sideways M lol
It is basically the Greek S
I immediately graduated after that joke
Awesome. I'm 13 years old and I couldn't understand math memes with summations. Now I can
Oh, and also, I can solve summations haha
It's been on my mind for the past few years. Today, I finally searched for it and found your amazing video!
Hellooooooo! I am 12 years and I am learning Summation and Calculus, and this video is greatttttt!
Yo same, I have this math question that you can try to solve if u want:
Is 1+1/2+1/3+1/4...+1/infinity finite or not
Same

Wait…so it’s like a « for » loop in python ?
ohh so it’s kind of like a reverse factorial
YOU ARE GREAT TEACHER 👩🏫👩🏫👩🏫👩🏫👩🏫👩🏫👩🏫👩🎓👩🎓👩🎓👩🎓👩🎓
Thanks for the re-teach! I just passed Calculus 3 and some proof courses....and yet, I STILL forget how this friggin' Summation notion is supposed to be read haha. Bless your soul!
Thank you for this. Even the TH-cam greats have failed me on this subject somehow...until now!
Doesn’t that make this person the new grate.
TH-cam taught me more in 3 minutes what I couldn't learn in 3 years in school

I’m in 8th grade, I think I am dumb, this is the only explanation I could understand. Thank you so much!
You are not dumb..... I am in 11th grade and now I am going to learn what is summation 😂😀
Best explanation ever! Literally nothing else could’ve explained it any better.
Thank you mam love from India now I understand the use of summation 🙇🙇🙇🙇🙇
At 0:10 i already knew i ate some pie. Lol
thanks so much, now i can get at least one mark more on my exam than otherwise :)
The clearst explanation🖤
After so many efforts i got this thanks a lot
Wow! Explicit and succinct explanation. Thank you for the knowledge I just gained
Wonderful Explanation Mrs.Dina
Thank you for such a wonderful and detailed explanation. I loved it🥰🥰
Thanks mam...

Thank you for amazing explanation 😊😊. This is very helpful and easy to understand.
Excellent explanation. This has been bugging me for years!
Thanks for the video! This is a great refresher
Finally someone who actually explains it
Could u explain more what element is?
wow a for loop (n = 0; top; n + 1) {initial value ; end point; increment value} in mathematical notation... I knew it summed things up but never saw the application... now I know, Thanks!
Hope you have a great day & Safe Travels!
how do we know how much we want increment by? is that always one?
That's an excellent question! Yes, always increment by one. There might be exceptions, but that would be indicated by something at the bottom of the summation symbol.

Wooo. This video is very explanatory. Thanks it helped a lot
Great Job Dina.

nice explanation brother
You should narrate my audio books Btw good video. Now I'm gonna use this for my life .Thanks.
Thank you, much much, it's my pleasure to say....i got the assignment now 05/09/23
great video , tnx !👍😃📚📘
I don' t know why but the joke at the beggining of the video just killed me😂😂
Theres also Π (product symbol)
Thank you so much! The clean explanation saved me so much time :D
Thankyou for this wonderful explanation and this is the video which I am looking for
So easy! That scary math math symbol. Thanks!
it is really easy you are amazing
It's a very helpful video
I want to know how to put subscript after summation symbol. Not to understand it.
I feel my brian have updated to v2.0
real knee slapper at the start
Very simple actually : )
Lloyd Smith you have the coolest channel ever !
thank you for your blessings!!!!
Why does the element increase by 1 each time, or can it be a fraction?
It increases by one each time. If you wanted to increase by a fractional amount, you could write k*(1/2) and that would increase it by 1/2 each time
Amazing. I loved it🌠✨
Thank you for such an easy and detailed explanation. Keep up this wonderful work.
Im 9 years old, sadly diagnosed with a testicular problem but will heal in 3-5 days. But aside from that, im on a trip with math and this helped out alot thanks
Wonderful lecture
This is my favorite youtube video
Thank-you soooo much

wait, where did you get 60?
Thank you so much, it was very informative.
You’re AMAZING!
You taught this excellently, thank you!
thank you so much, that was very helpful
Very helpful. Thank you so much!
Huh, we just dont use this symbol in my country in schools, no wonder i didnt know what it meant. We just use Sn
very clear and useful video!!
n=1/5
n= 1 to 3
element is 4 tries each skill, 3 Sucess = 3/4
So, Summation
sigma 3/4 + 1 + 3/4 +2 t 3/4 +3
= 7/4 +11/4 +15 / 4 = 33/4 = success
o-3
. 3/4 + o = 3/ 4 = 36/4 = 9
very easy to follow and understand ty
now i can flex to all my friends that i know thattt
Great video and loved the joke!
Any calculator give reversed calculations or not???
Thank you so much !!
Very nice explained !!
This was really good
I didn't learn these yet cause I'm in grade 10 french system but I'm rly interested in that stuff thx bruh
Omg thank you so much I finally got it!!!!!
Thank you for making this make sense for me!!!
Super clear,
thank you very much.
SO NICE EXPLANATION!!!
Youre amazing thank you so much!
👍👍👍
Lower Limit is always not starting for K = more than given there
Ok but what if infinity is on the top
Then you need to tackle the upper value with limits. That's a much deeper topic.
Nice, thanks.
Thank you very much 😃
Wow, that was a really good explanation!
Very helpful
Cge Stem pa.... Hahahaha
n(n-1)/2 doesn't work when index isnt one
Can't wait for Pi day now.

Love the joke :) thanks for the video Dina!
Didn't you use the BODMAS rule when you added those fractions after putting in terms of common denominator?
Purushottam Bania Yes, the numerators are added together since you do grouping first.
I ate some pie
