- If you don't need 7 seats then there's an argument for the Range Rover Sport being the ultimate SUV - heaps of luxury, oodles of comfort and enough grunt to entertain. But what's it like in 2025? Join me for an in-depth review of the Range Rover Sport in Autobiography trim with the 350hp six-cylinder diesel engine, as I talk about security, boot space, interior quality and plenty more. Oh yes, and how it drives with the Stormer handling pack.

Kudos to JLR for optioning a full-size spare wheel. Well worth the money, as no space saver and/or tyre gunk will leave you paying a premium for a tyre fitter to come to your break down. Plus the chances of them stocking a 23" wheel tyre is slim at best!
JLR stepped up their game with the new Range Rover/ Range Rover sport.
"Well it can't be called a sport, it weighs 2.5 tonnes"... You're welcome. 😊
Haha thank you! I'm glad someone was listening!
@@TimRodieDrivesStuff ha - I'm sure plenty are. As mentioned before, great presentation style. I think you and Nicola Hume have distinctive, natural and entertaining personalities in front of the camera. (She DOES have better hair than you though, sorry).
Sumo wrestling is a sport though 😮

Great review..real life and with good humour..Looking forward to the M5 review..!!
Thank you kindly!
Can only assume it's Tim's anniversary this week and needed a posh car to take the missus out for a nice meal. Very right too.
My other half doesn't notice if I take her out in a Ferrari or Lambo, which is actually quite refreshing
Reviewers should film these in their natural environment, in London, outside of schools or in the dealership being fixed. Great review as ever from Tim…
Jealous?
@@andrewp111 I'm jealous, being a cashed up soccer mom sure beats working.
Great review Tim. Now, I'm going to dedicate some time to read the comments below because I'm curious as to how many comments will hit the elephant in the room... reliability!
As soon as you said sport and 2.4ton, I thought new M5 😂
Saw HDMI port and thought Xbox, then you mentioned xbox 😂
Great minds!
Had an X5 msport 30d for three days recently. Almost 50mpg on a run was impressive but I was surprised how bobbly it felt on the motorway and never felt it truly settled. Maybe that is true of all these type of vehicles being so tall. Its the first one I have driven
Loving this channel, more reviews please!
Thank you! More reviews are coming every Sunday (until I run out of cars)
Quiz answer : "What's that orange thing ?" As to the Range Rover Sport, clearly a lovely bit of kit and in our crazy world where any bogo car costs north of £40,000, it may even be considered "good value" in it's class though way out of my budget !
14:34 is my favourite bit
haha thank you
If I could afford this it's a yes from me ❤😂
"Suns out, shiny heeed!"
Have had a 3.0L diesel since 2016 as my daily driver and our family's road-trip vehicle. Overall, reliability hasn't been all that bad - not excellent, but not the nightmare they are sometimes made out to be. Performance has been fantastic - good enough that I ordered a 2025 RR Sport Autobiography P530 (523 HP V8) that should arrive later this month. 1) They no longer offer any diesel option in the North American market, which is a shame. 2) I know the car TELLS you it's getting 30+ MPG on average, but it just isn't. I have tracked real-world fuel consumption for every single tank of diesel I've consumed in 9 years - actual miles driven and actual gallons of fuel used to drive that distance. The real world figures are about 23-26MPG. When it's hot and you're running the air conditioning all the time and dragon around town, it's more like 23. When the weather is beautiful and you're doing more highway driving, you can expect more like 25-26 MPG. Keep in mind, that's for the 2016 3.0L 263HP diesel. I can't imagine the higher HP engines get better fuel economy. Still, that's quite good for such a heavy vehicle. Also, tires make a HUGE difference. The tires that come on it from the factory are rubbish for snow or mud. Replace them ASAP with good M&S rated, light-truck tires. I have been VERY happy with the Michelin Defender LTX, which seems to be available in the size options available for the newer RR Sport. They have excellent rain and snow performance while also being very quiet on long highway drives and holding up for around 60,000 miles, despite the weight of this car and the extreme heat in which I often drive here in the Southwestern U.S.
Noice dahy intit! Yur 'ed's glawwinG!
Hahahah, that made me chuckle, thank you
Tata Motors make some nice looking cars.
Oddly, considering the data collected on sales of previous and current generation, they wouldn't create a diesel/electric hybrid.
For today only, the reg number relates to the base price (apparently)😂
Heres a good wager for you. What will happen first,a scratch on the piano black plastic or a catastrophic failure of the V6 turbo deisil?
It's a straight six.
Love a Range Rover me…..
It is so desirable and so commanding.
Unfortunately, the cost/depreciation and reliability make no sense.
You will look awesome in it…….parked at the side of the road broken down!😂😂😂
Kids picking touchscreen glass out of their face after a bingle.
Bingle!
It can’t be a sport it’s 2.5 tonnes
Lovely looking car but honestly, I wouldn't buy one due to JRL reliability.
Why buy this when the infinitely more reliable Lexus GX550 exists for half the price?
Tim needs a fake tan, some Turkey teeth and perhaps a few forearm tattoos (if he wants to look better suited to this)
RRS 2023 d300 se insurance £800
That's amazingly good
Majestic piece of crap
