    What an unbelievable day. We might have the best forward group - lines 1 through 4 - in the league.
    Only knock on Skinner, we need him to actually learn how to play defensively. Hopefully the 200 ft Arvidsson and Leo covers for his mistakes.
    Kane to LTIR or Ceci trade likely upcoming

      i would agree. but be careful, say this to a canucks fan (as I saw on X) they apprently have "arguably" the deepest forward group in the NHL. hahahaha

      The Oilers could afford to have McDrai as a permanent line with Hyman and still have a great second line with the likes of coach's favorite RNH, tenacious battler Arvidsson, and Skinner's scoring touch. And still have an above average third line with Henrique, more of a top 6 guy. That's deeeep

      McDrai line is for when we're down a goal or two in the 3rd period only.... We are deep enough now to give boy of them 2 good wingers, and eliminate opponents ability to stack a shut down line against both guys.

      @@bradbradford8576 It's really tough to complain given the amount of excellent moves by Jackson yesterday... The nature of the cap is that not every need is going to be addressed and to be frank, the price for decent defenseman is outrageous right now.

      @@bradbradford8576 People need to get over the Nurse contract... It isn't moving, a trade is impossible and the buyout would be outrageous. Vinny was sat in the finals, the most important games of the year, Broberg was just better than him against the best competition full stop, it doesn't matter if he is 6'7 when he has always struggled to move the puck and isn't as physical as he should be given his size.

    • @Marixa1979
      @Marixa1979 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm perfectly content with the Oilers defense. Bouch/Ek was the best pair all year last year, definitely top 3 every year. Nurse with a better partner is perfectly fine, he's good and can play any kind of game, can drop the mitts if needed. Broberg looks like he arrived and should solidify the core. Likely Ceci gets traded out this year.

      Darnell isn't a tough fighter, he's gritty, but not a heavy weight, and your missing my point, After next season, You cannot afford both when Bouchard will command a similar contract to Nurse...

      But, look over how oilers played during the latest playoffs. Many times the other team was limited in shots. Panthers had 2 shots in 1 period? Dallas was limited many periods too. That’s good defence. I don’t think defence is a big issue for this team. They didn’t score a goal when it was most needed. Overall I think oilers improved. Plus if Skinner doesn’t let in that first soft goal, I think oilers make the finals next year.
