Re-watching the ending of the first game I realized I got focused by a Twice, Aizawa, and a Yellow Siggy all on different teams. That one split second they all threw something at me xD
as far as i watched and got bodied by yellow shigaraki i can confirm that the secret to dominate with him is just spam alpha like an idiot, specially after a gamma or beta, it literally erases you faster than the red one

Honestly I focus yellow shiggys in my games. As an afo, his quirks are nice to steal. Only Characters I focus harder are lida and twice. Lida bc I think he pairs best with afo out of the entire roster, and twice bc it's on sight.

Shiggy is probably my ultimate main because before he had 4 alphas at start and before his alpha could go up walls, I had a 15 KO game and like 12K+ damage. That was the biggest adrenaline rush I think I’ve ever had.
I know Assault Shigi doesn't need buffs only nerfs but imagine if he's Gamma was a grab if he catch you he brutally slam's you to the ground by the head That would be so sick
An air command grab with that much reach would be nuts but fun. Honestly I don't think that would be insanely broken. Heck I'd prefer that over his stunlock gamma beta gamma alpha combo.
Gamma then beta combo then repeat into the alphas. Me personally I don’t like using both my gammas for the combo but it locks them down if you can catch someone with your team and insta knock them. Hit some gammas into the air and throw some alphas down you’re golden
In late games like the first one you played I always suggest being up in the air or high ground especially if you’re low, I play as toga a lot and I beta up and sometimes transform and detrans to just get higher up and alpha or gamma again. I would think you should do that with yellow Shig with the gamma and just throw alphas. -just opinion-

I'm not sure if this a true combo, but i rend to do Beta and of the projectile hits, I use Gamma and then Alpha. I think this does much more damage since the Beta will hit them for the entire duration of the combo instead of just after the Gamma.
