I like what you did with the bike. The airspring upgrade is a great bang for the buck and the Ergon seat is a game changer. So comfy.

When I first sat on the seat I was like, “oh wow, that’s what a seat is supposed to feel like.”

Very nicely done - I like the detailed reasoning behind the suspension upgrades - that air shaft upgrade is a pretty good bang for the buck.
Although I've never had a problem with my Guide RSC brakes, that DOT fluid is nasty stuff and I just choose to pay The Bike Doc to work on them. :P

Thanks! I feel like there is so much more I could talk about, but I really don’t have that much authority on any of the subject matter, still learning!
That said, if anyone reading this is going to change the seals on their fork themselves and you’re already opening it up it’s worth it to upgrade to the newest airspring!

Any experience with the sram code r ? Thats what i got for the ns essentric hardtail im building. Fwiw, i absolutely love my xtr 9120 brakes on my full sus.

@@jasonzawacki8238 I can’t remember if I’ve tried a bike with the Code R brakes. Generally Shimano has a more on/off feel where SRAM will have more modulation - but I did try a bike with XTR brakes and the modulation felt just as good as my Guide RSC. 🤷‍♂️

That upgrade looks sick! I was at Keith Andres bike park recently and saw a bike like that.

You get the 10mm upgrade. And skip the two big jumps on gravity cavity?
Kidding, that last one is scary cuz theres no room to run out.

I actually really don’t like that last one for that reason. But the flagstone one I need to have some one tow me into it, haven’t had anyone to do that with just yet. It looked less intimidating when it was just roots.

@@LifeFromtheLoam I have been hitting it recently. I really wish there wasnt so much rough terrain leading up to it.

@@jasonzawacki8238 I haven't hit that flagstone drop yet either - I need to give it a try with enough people around to carry my body out. :P

Next on my list is that gnarly section of downhill by dynamite road.

Are you going to be going to Whistler as a bike trip?

When they open the borders, that’s an eventual destination. I’m more interested in Squamish, BC if I’m honest.
