@@kodyfong3704 Heavily disagree. It won't be easy but at the same time, they are only 4 games out of the wildcard and so far have KILLED IT vs the AL East this year aside from Tampa. 13-4 vs the Jays, O's, and Yankees. If they can somehow, someway start beating inferior teams like the damn Pirates, Cardinals, White Sox, etc. then they would be right in the thick of it. The bats, namely Devers and Duvall, need to wake the fuck up. Especially Raffy, who has a 110 OPS+, lower than fucking Duran or 38 yr old Justin Turner.
There should be no "but" in your statement. Them winning against divisional teams is what they need to do the most but winning all around is also important.
@@nikolaoskorosiotis2947 The starting pitchers are 7th in WAR since May 1st and 3rd in xFIP, 9th in FIP. The rotation is nails, idk WTF drugs you are on buddy. The relievers are also tied 15th in WAR since May 1st, middle of the pack. You're just uninformed at a high level
@@nikolaoskorosiotis2947 Also the bullpen is only looking rough because they're being forced into starting roles that they weren't great in. Guys like Wink, Kutter, Pivetta, and Chris Murphy all look quite good for the most part in bullpen roles, having them all go 5+ innings out of the pen isn't a winning formula though. That isn't anyones fault though, injuries happen
Good performance last night. Being honest I don’t think we will be celebrating at the end of this season, we aren’t good enough atm. But we have the core of a potentially great team. With a couple of quality additions for next season from outside and a little luck we could be challenging for the World Series in 2024. We have a great stadium, in a great city. Add in the greatest fans in baseball and the improvements above and 2024 could be our year ✌️ Go Red Sox 👍
All they truly need are a power bat in the outfield and 1 more durable starting pitcher. Maybe an every day player for second base. The pitching has a ton of youth now with Bello, Houck, Whitlock, Kutter, Wink, Murphy, and potentially guys like Walter or Drohan in the future. Even if some of those guys are meh in the majors they can be used as trade chips at least. The lineup has a lot more youth and depth now too, with guys like Duran, Casas, Wong, and even Valdez playing at least decent. The bench is a vast improvement from the days of Marwin Gonzalez, Michael Chavis, Danny Santana, Travis Shaw, etc.
100% agree Paxton was quality last night and Yoshida is a solid player who can produce the goods on a regular basis. Loved his little smile after his home run 👍
Great performance by Paxton. He has been so good for us, it’s a shame we will need to be sellers at the deadline… that being said, i love watching Duran play. He’s come a long way and I hope we hold on to him at least
As bad of a record that they have, they are still great to watch. Any other division they would be cruising along and not in last place. If they were in the A.L Central they would be tied for first and in the AL West, they would be in fourth. N.L East 4th, Central 3rd, West 4th. Still plenty of season left. If you all remember last season, they were killing it up until the All Star break, then fell flat after. Maybe this year we can flip the script. LET'S GO RED SOX 🎆🧨🎆🧨🟥⬜🟦
35 year Sox fan and this has to be the most frustrating team I’ve seen. Bloom really blew up the franchise after 2021 and ownership is ok with this. Very poorly constructed team and the starting pitching along with the bullpen are atrocious. They really screwed up guys like Whitlock and Houck, Pivetta. Bello only bright spot. Cannot believe that Kluber still occupies a roster spot. Offense is good but too many guys playing same position or playing out of natural position. Love Cora but too many bonehead moves in close games and in my opinion other than 2018 he’s been really average as a manager.
Cmon Sox this series is so important
It’s pretty much over. I gave up on this team a while ago. Mediocre at best. Below 500 in a stacked division. Very little chance of making it.

Good win but boston needs to do this with non-contendent teams also
RIGHT!!??

1:30 Vladdy's reaction is all class. Good sportsmanship is my favorite thing about sports.
And Flyin' Durran's catch? Love that kid!
What a showing by Paxton. The long ball also came through. Things are looking up!
Good win but this team unfortunately is going to be last place all year bro, pitching is horrible and bullpen is just as bad. Bad form by Bloom.

Paxton is elite.. and I think Red Sox should already be looking to extend Yoshida, I want him here longer than 5 yrs

The Red Sox are the best last place team in baseball.
@@CaptainLumpyDog its Boston. Every season one team is the best at something

Hey. If we take anything. We beat our division pretty well! 😂
Marcus Smart traded to the Red Sox? That was a nice hustle D

Thank you!
why can't the Blue Jays beat us 😂 i hope they go 0-14 and miss the playoffs by 1 game
