Voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley Review, We had a 2 day Package booked, which included an upgraded room, $100 Dinning Credit, 2 Cocktails, bottle of wine on arrival, High Tea & a Wine tasting!!1st of all we didn't get into our room till a little after 4pm, check in was at 3pm, we arrived at 1ish, had our High Tea at 2pm, was my 1st High Tea & it was excellent.
They started our check in @ 3pm, when the 2nd he receptionist arrived, that start @ 3pm, she was great, super helpful & informative, the one that was on before her lets just say I don't think she just didn't want to deal with the shit management caused!!
Basically they bumped us & 3 other bookings & didn't have the decency to let us know when they booked the what they call the buy out, basically a buy out means that a group books the whole place, in this case they booked it for 3 nights, I understand that for them a sold out property for 3 nights is to good to pass up, but IMO they should have call all guests affected by the buy out & informed us to give us a choice to Rescheduled our booking or get a Refund, so that we could rebook at another property of our choosing, we had put down our deposit when booking in July & final payment had come out a week before our check in date, they should have informed us, that is my issue with this whole situation!!
The hotel that they bumped us too was Rydges Hunter Valley, for starters Voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley is 4.5 star, reviews say Rydges Hunter Valley is 4 star, I would say more like 3.5 star, it's a nice enough place, but it's not a hotel I would've picked to stay at, because it caters more to families, with it's water park, more on the Rydges Hunter Valley on the next video!!
High Tea was great, the Cocktails excellent Passionfruit Martini & Chili Margarita excellent, Salted Caramel Coffee Martini didn't hit the spot for me, the was Food Fabulous, the Hotel was Awesome, Staff Great Super Helpful (most of them), but the way management treated us was extremely Disappointing & IMO Disrespectable, they didn't want to give their paying guests the option to Rescheduled the booking or get a Refund, which says to me "we will bend over backwards for big tour groups & corporate booking, but individual booking are expendable"!!
The indoor pool & Spa awesome, we enjoyed everything about our short stay except getting bumped, they did compensate us, a little, but not enough to take the sting out of what management did to us!!

It was booked through Qantas staying @ Voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley part of the IHG hotel chain, we had a 2 day Package booked, which included an upgraded room, $100 Dining Credit, Buffet Breakfast for 2 on both days, 2 Cocktails, bottle of wine on arrival, High Tea & a Wine tasting @ a cost of $749.00 AUD!!

Is the Shenlong on the main floor of the Casino? Or is it in Gold Room only? I did not find it on the main floor.🙃
Hi Fiona Shenlong was on the main casino area on August 14th in the Dragon train area, when I went back on August 25th they were gone, I have looked all over the casino but couldn't fine them, have Beautiful winning week my friend 🍹😺🍹

The majors celebratory music is different. I prefer the dragon unleashed major celebratory music better tbh. The tune that plays on dragon unleashed has a somewhat different feel to it than this one
I've never really noticed the difference in the music, but there is a distinct plonk sound when the Major gets dropped, hope you have a Beautiful winning week my friend🍹😺🍹
