I'm 18, I come from a hindu family and converted last year, I told my parents and it was touture till I gave up.... Fast forward...this year, a few weeks after Ramadan with the mercy of Allah SWT I started practicing again but in secrecy, I took advice from 2 online Muslims to continue pretending to practice shirk, while praying when ever I can, I was advised to not do anything to make them suspect me.... But all this never felt right at all I kept asking Allah again and again if I were doing the ryt thing..... Cause I felt constantly guilty from hiding that I'm a Muslim..... And I read about the legacy of Prophet Ibrahim PBUH and constant video of him in TH-cam.... I was scared but being a Muslim in hiding is one suggested option but at the same time being like the Prophet and the the examples in this video is another also making my life miserable, because I depend on my family for everything, including my college fee... And they did promise that they would stop my education if they found out I was practicing Islam again... And I'm so scared of round 2 of touture that I'm so scared... What do you suggest mate....hiding or bravery
May Allah bless you and strengthen you. May Allah Azzawajal make you strong. My suggestion is don't even practice shirk, secretly or publicly. You have to come out now. Stop hiding. Allah is with is. They torture you let them. Don't get afraid. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 286) Whatever you go through in life, remember, 1) Allah is always with us 2) Whatever the problem is, Allah knows you can handle it. Allah doesn't burden a soul beyond it's capability to handle 3) Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said: فَاِ نَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا ۙ "For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease." (QS. Ash-Sharh 94: Verse 5) Not only do you have to come out and start practicing your religion but you also have to call your family members to Islam. So have courage. Also I advise you to look up stories about great people. Their courage so that you could get encouraged. Look up the story Assiya(may Allah be pleased with her) and similar like her Allah will help you in some way or the other. Allah said himself who ever has taqwa of Allah, I will make a way out for him and provide for him from means he didn't anticipate. Taqwa means fear of Allah by the way.

Alot of people can go against You, threaten you, torture you, disgrace you harm you and even make your life miserable. *BUT* one thing is for sure, the "gods" your family is worshipping is completely *FALSE*. No offence but they've disgraced themselves by committing shirk. They have no power with them whatsoever. Verily you have Allah! (Swt) Don't pray to those disgusting false gods, it's probably not right to go in front of them and prostrate in front of them. Even if you don't mean it with your heart, it's still wrong to do so and Allah (swt) is watching. At night or at dawn, try going to masjids and try to get some advice from imams and scholars they can be a source of guidance for you. Before everything try searching up ways on how you can earn money. Try working at a fast food restaurant or have a part time job at a grocery store. You can earn money from there. And try studying hard so that you can get scholarship somewhere. And most of All, pray to Allah for guidance, and pray to him to help you and to guide you. I'll pray for you as long as I can! Also it's best to keep your religion a secret for now. Try locking your room whenever you have to pray and keep your al-Qur'an hidden deeply. Try reading it twice a week or atleast 3 times a week. If your family does find out, you should stand up and tell them. They might throw you out but before they find out, remember what I said, try working at a fast food restaurant or at a grocery store. Save up your money. Go to masjids and make some friends there. Visit them daily and ask them for advice. Surely having practising muslim friends can help you get closer to the deen. And surely they can help and support you. You just have to trust them. Assalamualaikum Brother. Your Iman and love for Allah will surely protect you and you are under Allah's protection now. My humble advice to you is that you may be hiding your Faith now, but it would be almost impossible to hide it for too long from your family. I would suggest that you should take help from some of your other relatives about whom you feel that they care for you,for goodness and for humanity. If you feel this is not a good option, try reaching out to Muslim Organizations helping students who cannot afford college. Don't feel any shame...you can return the favour by helping others when Allah makes you financially independent. In the end don't lose hope. Allah is the most merciful. He will protect you. Just keep making dua to him.

Every Muslim must know and avoid these major sins to protect themselves from severe punishment. If you have ever committed any of these major sins in the past, repent sincerely to Allah and resolve to never return to it. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Avoid the seven sins that doom one to Hell… “…Associating others with Allah (Shirk), magic, killing a soul whom Allah has forbidden killing, consuming Interest (Riba), consuming the property of orphans, fleeing on the day of the march (to the battlefield), and slandering chaste women… ” (An-Nisai) 1. Associating others with Allah (Shirk) The Prophet ﷺ said, “It is hoped that Allah may forgive every sin, except in the case of one who dies a polytheist…” (Abu Dawud) “Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly gone far astray.” (Quran 4:116) 2. Taking a life unjustly “….Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely…” (Quran 5:32) 3. Consuming Interest (Riba) Allah’s Messengerﷺ cursed the accepter of interest and its payer, the one who records it as well as the two witnesses, and heﷺ said that they are all equal. (Musilm) “Those who consume interest cannot stand [on the Day of Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity. That is because they say, “Trade is [just] like interest.” But Allah has permitted trade and has forbidden interest.” (Quran 2:275) 4. Consuming the wealth of an Orphan “And do not approach the property of an orphan, except in the way that is best, until he reaches maturity.” (Quran 17:34) “Indeed, those who devour the property of orphans unjustly are only consuming into their bellies fire. And they will be burned in a Blaze.” (Quran 4:10) 5. Fleeing the battlefield “O you who have believed, when you meet those who disbelieve advancing [for battle], do not turn to them your backs [in flight]. And whoever turns his back to them on such a day…has certainly returned with anger [upon him] from Allah, and his refuge is Hell - and wretched is the destination.” (Quran 8:15-16) 6. Accusing a believing woman of Adultery “And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses - lash them with eighty lashes and do not accept from them testimony ever after. And those are the defiantly disobedient,” “Except for those who repent thereafter and reform, for indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.” (Quran 24:4-5) 7. Practicing Sihr (Magic) And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people sihr and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, “We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing sihr].” And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah . And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the sihr would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew. You know what's scary? That terrorism (killing people) and lack of respect for other human beings are being justified by this way of thinking, and how many of us even know if it's actually right or wrong..
Inspirational in the highest degree. The Prophet pbuh and a lot of those sahaba who were already promised paradise, still remained humble n on the righteous path every moment. For what? To be a beacon of guidance for us. They showed us how to live through difficulties and weaknesses, while keeping the right focus. Think about it. Once promised paradise, especially when the riches started pouring in, why did they still stick to a humble lifestyle?

7 Major Destructive Sins in Islam
The Seven Major Destructive Sins in Islam
Do you know the 7 destructive sins in Islam? Every Muslim must know and avoid these major sins to protect themselves from severe punishment. If you have ever committed any of these major sins in the past, repent sincerely to Allah and resolve to never return to it. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Avoid the seven sins that doom one to Hell… “…Associating others with Allah (Shirk), magic, killing a soul whom Allah has forbidden killing, consuming Interest (Riba), consuming the property of orphans, fleeing on the day of the march (to the battlefield), and slandering chaste women… ” (An-Nisai)
1. Associating others with Allah (Shirk)
The Prophet ﷺ said,
“It is hoped that Allah may forgive every sin, except in the case of one who dies a polytheist…” (Abu Dawud) “Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly gone far astray.” (Quran 4:116)
2. Taking a life unjustly
“….Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely…” (Quran 5:32)
3. Consuming Interest (Riba)
Allah’s Messengerﷺ cursed the accepter of interest and its payer, the one who records it as well as the two witnesses, and heﷺ said that they are all equal. (Musilm) “Those who consume interest cannot stand [on the Day of Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity. That is because they say, “Trade is [just] like interest.” But Allah has permitted trade and has forbidden interest.” (Quran 2:275)
4. Consuming the wealth of an Orphan
“And do not approach the property of an orphan, except in the way that is best, until he reaches maturity.” (Quran 17:34) “Indeed, those who devour the property of orphans unjustly are only consuming into their bellies fire. And they will be burned in a Blaze.” (Quran 4:10)
5. Fleeing the battlefield
“O you who have believed, when you meet those who disbelieve advancing [for battle], do not turn to them your backs [in flight]. And whoever turns his back to them on such a day…has certainly returned with anger [upon him] from Allah, and his refuge is Hell - and wretched is the destination.” (Quran 8:15-16)
6. Accusing a believing woman of Adultery
“And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses - lash them with eighty lashes and do not accept from them testimony ever after. And those are the defiantly disobedient,” “Except for those who repent thereafter and reform, for indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.” (Quran 24:4-5)
7. Practicing Sihr (Magic)
And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people sihr and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, “We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing sihr].” And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah . And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the sihr would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew. (Quran 2:102) Allah’s Messengerﷺ said, “Avoid the Mubiqat, i.e., shirk and witchcraft.” (Bukhari)

For what?
To be a beacon of guidance for us. They showed us how to live through difficulties and weaknesses, while keeping the right focus.
Think about it. Once promised paradise, especially when the riches started pouring in, why did they still stick to a humble lifestyle?
