I am a Grandpa to a two year old boy. I have to tell you that the highlight of my day or week is when I get to see him . He is such a joy to spend time with. It is fantastic being a Grandpa.
The deer and Turkey shots are phenomenal! I laughed out loud at the cat hanging out in the trampoline while your son was doing cartwheels! I swear you need to write a book when you're all finished building and write your story! You already have a video book of sorts now! Reminds me of Little House on the Prairie series with Michael Landon. A beautiful family and their every day lives tucked away in the mountains of Idaho!! What a story! Because you decided to document your lives for the benefit of everyone who watches is a gift to us all! I relate to the construction side of your story because my whole life had been spent on a construction sight trying to help other people build their dreams! To watch how your family operates and puts love first especially for those that didn't experience that has put my faith back in people. God meant for families to be like yours! Of course there's hills and valleys along the way but it's how we deal and react to those challenges that teach the lessons needed to become that person God intended for us to become! Call me crazy but I miss doing drywall altho I have many other interests happening in my retirement! I found your sight by accident looking up information on how to build live edge wooden benches. When I first started riding I was about 4 or 5 years old. I would drag the saddle to the picnic table and put it on top then call the horse over to put on the saddle on and get on the horse. My mom or dad watched me the first couple of time to make sure I did the saddle right. After that I did not have to bother them to go riding it was a win win for them. They gave me a 20 year old horse it was it was the best age to learn on, his days of kicking and bucking was long gone. He love me and I loved him.
Good morning! 🎉. In May, my husband and I will travel to Vancouver Island to care for our Grandchildren. Our Daughter planned a wedding and had to cancel due to lockup. They then had two babies close together. 2 years ago they had the most beautiful wedding. And then our Son in Law started a year long Cancer battle. They never got a honeymoon. Hence our trip over while they take a cruise to Alaska. No more cancer. Grandpapa is excited 😊

I have 6 siblings and every weekend my grandparents would come and take 2 of us to their house for the weekend. We all wanted to go ! My memories with them will last a lifetime . Grandma made homemade bread while we were there and made us whatever we wanted to eat!
Eli is such a trooper to get back on horses after those tough experiences! He's a brave young man.

Growing up as a child it was almost a daily event for me to wake up with a black bird flying in my room. They would fly down the chimney to keep warm in the winter and knock out the plate and fly around me like a Alfred Hitchcock movie. Great job rescuing the bird Melissa, have a great day.

I have 3 grandkids, jasper 7, Olivia 2, Kyler 7 months. They are my heart!! I loved being a mom. Being a LaLa is so much more!!! More love, story telling, spoiling. It’s motherhood enhanced , unlimited joy! To watch my daughters be moms is so rewarding and my son teaching a little boy to grow into a man awesome. It’s nice to see Jeremy really enjoying riding Blue, it’s mad how you can bond with a horse after a few, can’t wait to see uz doing trail ride’s there’s nothing like it, had a few horses but there was one I had such a special bond with at one point he would only let me ride him,Blue seems to have been a hit with all who like riding and not to forget Lexon (he’d get on with most he’s so mellow) xx

Melissa tell Eli that every time he falls off learning to ride he becomes a better rider. He can remember what he did that might have caused his fall and not do it again. Anybody that hasn’t fallen off sometime hasn’t learned as much. The kids are doing great and the apartment is moving along quickly. I’ve enjoyed the ride for several years now and have watch you since the move out there. Exciting to watch the growth! ❤🎉

I've been thrown every way you can be thrown, including a double twisting backflip where I landed between my horses two front feet. When the stars cleared, I opened my eyes to find her nose right in my face. That was quite the day! I'm proud of Eli for sticking with it. I don't know if it's stubbornness or just the love of a horse that makes us do it - but I do know those are the best memories in a lifetime of memories. Just my bucking bronco(s) and me. LOL :)

Even though two are married,one in college with a serious relationship and one in high school,the younger two our just 8 and 6 and it's a blast to explore their interests in life. Every time I see you lead a horse around your corral, I now think of Yellowstone and the work they do with the horses on that show (I can't remember the character names). My Dad use to own a piece of a collection of racing horses and so we used to spend a lot of time at the track and stables nearby - it was lots of fun, but we never got to work with the horses. Short rides every now and again and I always wanted more time with the horses. That was 40 years ago... but it is so nice to see someone who loves horses and always wanted to own a few actually realize her dream. It's just so much fun to watch.

I think she could definitely be an actress with ease… to bad Hollywood is so Evil…. But I totally enjoy her videos as well as yours!
Pro tip for catching birds indoors: move very slowly. Pretend you are a Zen Bird... or something. This is the only way I was able to catch the hummingbird that flew into Mom & Dad's garage one day. I did the quick-grab thing and failed miserably. BUt when I slowed down, I was able to catch that beautiful hummer the first attempt. He rested in my hands for a few minutes then flew off the join the rest of the buzzbirds. I hope he told a good story!
Your comment about the Grizzly made me wonder if you'll put up any wildlife watch cameras from up there in Gabby and other locations on your property . I love watching wildlife video cam footage ! 🙏🏼Safety for you !❤

Again, true words of wisdom at the end of the video. I miss hearing the stories told by my grandparents on both sides of the family. They have long since passed, as well as my parents but who else could have told you first hand accounts of the 1910's to the early 60's. I love the ceiling by the way.

I overslept by lots this morning, I get up and sit on the side of my bed and pull up TH-cam and start listening to y'all. I am only a minute or so into the video. I am just listening not watching and right from the start I hear it. I laughed outloud, I try to stay quiet as my husband works nights and is still sleeping but I knew he would appreciate why I was laughing. Right from the start I hear Jeremy being sarcastic ish..when he said "Let's get it up" I absolutely bust out laughing. I totally hear my husband and the sarcastic way they make those comments..with all this said, I am going to go back to listening to the rest of the video now, just know that y'all started my day laughing!!

Horses are somewhat like Dogs. They are highly intelligent and when given the proper time and connections with Humans, they actually know how to communicate with us very well. It is very important to spend time quietly talking in their ears while looking them in the eye. It's one reason also why the first thing that we should do with our Dogs is to gently blow a breath into their Nose while softly whispering to them. You'd be amazed how well they both react to us in a Positive Way. Robert(Ras).

Grandparents help their grandkids to get into mischief they haven't even thought of yet. As a grandma, I can confirm that! 🤣🤣🤣By the way, I learned this from my grandma, who was the best.😉
A suggestion for the vent. If air is going to exhaust out get one of those slatted vent hole covers that folks including us have attached on the exhaust vent for the dryer. The slats will open when the air exhaust out or maybe get a mesh screen to cover the pipe on the outside wherever it protrudes from the addition.
