I make hard boiled eggs like this: cover the eggs with water about an inch above the eggs, bring to a rolling boil on your stove. Turn off the heat, cover the pot, wait 15 minutes, and the water/steam cooks them perfectly. I pour off the hot water, run cold water over them and let them cool in the cold water, or in the fridge.
Cold water and eggs. Boil 20 min. Cool in cold water.

Very cool FD is so Brave going while the store is open in the daylight! Every stinkin time I go to Aldi's in the Day I am caught by employees, however this last time was the manager of the Store and I read her the ordinance from our town and I have the law on myside. The Manager threw up her arms and called the cops. I continued to retrieve goods out of the dumpster and had a sweet haul was putting step ladder in my vehicle and got in my vehicle and drove away. The police never bothered to show up. Oh and I cleaned up the area before I left.
The police WISH dumpster diving was their ONLY "criminal" problem. Cop humor-they probably laughed like hell on a call about dumpster diving. I'm glad you got a good score out of the Aldi dumpster.

What state, may I ask?
Well if it's already in the bin & headed for landfill then some needy people may able to use them. Either which way anyone else can also use them & stop them from going to the dump. It may take 100's of years to break down there & causes methane gases too.

Good dive FD. If you have too many eggs they do freeze and also the animals can have eggs. FM you sounded tired, definitely not your usual bouncy self. Hope the family are well. It was lovely to see the cats and kittens. 👵🏴💗💗💗🌹🌹
Was just at the Aldi in Ct. A guy was bringing back a can of soup for a refund. He told the guy he had to throw it away because it left the store. So nosey me says "you mean to say you throw everything away even though they aren't perishable ?" He said yes everything that goes out the door even for a minute. So that's probably why you find good in code food and things like tights and pajamas. I felt like saying put it on the side of the dumpster I'll pick it up. Lol.

I work for a retail store and yes as soon as food or medicine left the store and return it has to be thrown away even cases of water. Because some people are not right and will tamper with things.

It takes 7 minutes to hard boil an egg here in Calgary . Might have something to do with the fact that we are above sea level , plus I have a gas stove . It cooks hotter than electric, plus the heat is distributed evenly .

The Mini Verse, from what I have seen on the fb miniature groups, a lot of people are making them for their dollhouses. They have different miniature sets you put together, like little foods, plants, kitchen items, ect.

I do my hard boil eggs in the Instapot! 6 minutes pressure cook, 6 minutes natural release , place eggs in ice bath! And the pel like a dream!

Very nice haul. I haven’t had Bugles in decades and that Brekki is delicious but so pricy I can’t afford to buy it. Jackpot on eggs, my kitty would be flipping them out of the carton and onto the floor where he and his dog sister would enjoy the spoils.

Use the air fryer to make “boiled” eggs! It’s very easy and the eggs peel beautifully! Just google and you’ll find some charts. It’s basically air fry at 270 degrees for a certain number of minutes to get runny all the way to hard boiled. I do mine for 12 minutes so they aren’t too “boiled”.

Oooh, the strawberries and sour cream reminded me of dipping the strawberries in the sour cream and then into brown sugar. Freaking delicious!
You mentioned boiling eggs. Put cold water in pot just enough to cover eggs and boil for 18 minutes. When done put the eggs in cold water and then on the counter or board, roll very lightly with your hand and the shell will come off easily.

I use an instant pot for hard boiled eggs. Six minutes than a quick release. Ice bath to follow. Easy peel and perfect every time.

Boil eggs for 5-6 minutes, take off heat, put on a lid and rest for 15 minutes.
