Thank you for this! I’ve been so skeptical of this brush because my hair is very similar to yours, 3c/4a, and some parts that are much looser/frizzy. I think I’ll hold off for now 🫠
Okay, maybe I'll give it ONE more chance lol. I've tried it twice with different combos and didn't like it either way. I'll give it another go using a thicker gel.
I would suggest that you try the brush with the Wetline gel based upon the frizz in the root area. I think it is the products. My hair doesn't like the Doux products, and I have tried the majority of them.
The crazy part is that my hair LOVES The Doux. I’ve never had this problem before using her products, until I used them with this brush. Honestly, I’ve given up on the brush because I’ve found other methods to get my curls how I want them.
I have high porosity hair but I KNOW EXACTLY what you mean in this video. When I detangle w/ any curl brush.. my ends coil but the length and roots don’t curl for ish.
I usually have really good wash and gos. This is the first time in a while that I've had this problem so I'm pretty certain it's the brush. I've gone back to using my tangle teezer and my fingers.
The front of mine is definitely a different curl pattern from the back but it will curl well under the right circumstances. This brush just wasn’t it lol. So far, defining my hair with my fingers has given me the best results.
I did half my hair with the brush and the other half raking my fingers through. Not only did it take longer with the brush, but it was frizzy in the roots and down the length like yours. I'll just stick with nature's brush... My hands. 😂
I just purchased the brush but your hair is just like mine and I normally don’t do wash in go’s for that reason 😂 but I’m going to try and see what my hair does. I’m sure it will be a failure and I’m going to end up washing it again like I always do. 😢
Yeah, I think this brush was made for finer hair textures or hair that isn't very frizzy. I love wash and gos and have almost perfected my technique. Unfortunately, this tool just didn't work and isn't necessary for the process. It's true what they say, everything ain't for everybody lol
My son's hair does this. Defined at bottom but not at top. I bought this brush unfortunately & his hair kept getting caught in the balls along with it actually made it straighter, no curls. With his brother it didn't get stuck but made straighter too. I got no definition. Even tried a curling gel.🤷🏽♀️Could be me or the low porosity or I don't know. Lol. But I did realize it takes more work & time.
Yes, all of this lol. Happened to me too, even after trying it multiple times with different products. I’ll stick to my tangle teezer and fingers lol. If you are looking for a good detangling brush that detangles and defines, I definitely recommend checking out the tangle teezer for naturally curly hair: go.shopmy.us/p-10181582
Hair is beautiful it just looks like something that can be achieved without that brush. That brush seem like it’s made for 2 type and looser for it to really do something different. I def won’t be buying

Yeah, I honestly can’t say it’s worth it for me. I did give it another try and well.. I’ll post that video soon lol
@@ItsTayia They created the volume edgelift brush and the curls have been looking a little better
Omg i have exactly the same hair type as you! I tried the brush and was having hard time defining the roots. I thought it was my problem😭😭
You are not alone lol. I did receive two recommendations on how to potentially fix that issue so I’m going to give them a try and will report back!
Left mine looking the exact same way
And I used their hair product
The first 2 times i used the brush, i hated it.. but it has truly become a fav... i use the EcoSlay gel with The Doux honey mousse, the best combo!

It’s so annoying lol. But I’ve figured out that when I use my tangle teezer or my fingers, my curls look so much better!
I would have the same problem at the top of my head. I usually don't wear wash n go's for this exact reason
I usually have really good wash and gos. This is the first time in a while that I've had this problem so I'm pretty certain it's the brush. I've gone back to using my tangle teezer and my fingers.
I need one of these brushes. ❤
I actually think it would work really well for you. You can have mine.
So you have hair just like mine. The front of my hair NEVER curls as well as the back. It's the front part of our hair.
The front of mine is definitely a different curl pattern from the back but it will curl well under the right circumstances. This brush just wasn’t it lol. So far, defining my hair with my fingers has given me the best results.
I got the knock off on temu. I love it. I use gel with a mousse. My hair is 3c/4a,
I’m going to give it one more try using a mousse and a thicker gel. Hopefully it works 🤞🏾
Your hair is beautiful!!
You needed to add water to each stran before you add your gel and mousse.
Thanks for the tip!

All of this!! I’ve tried multiple times and it’s just not for me. If I do need to brush it, I’ll stick to my tangle teezer lol
Happy late birthday!
Thank you!!

I have the same issues as you. It doesn’t smooth and define my roots.
@@raysheen927 I got some tips on how to possibly make it work. I’m going to try them and if it doesn’t work then I’m going to give up.

I stopped using this brush after the 3rd attempt lol. My Tangle Teezer and fingers never fail.
I used this brush too and my hair looked the same. I did not like it! My hair is similar to yours .
I'm glad it's not just me. I tried it again and posted a follow up video. I tried so hard to make it work lol
