The only way you can obtain luck in survival is by getting luck arrows as gifts from villagers which I highly doubt happened here

Atleast In bedrock idk about Java but tipped arrows deal the potion effect no matter the armory or if they have a shield so a multi shot crossbow with damage two arrows can oneshot someone with a totem and full netherite
