Andrea something about your energy, humor, facial expressions, and sarcasm in your awesome and informative dollar tree hack videos ALWAYS makes me feel a wee bit better, even on the worst of the worst of days for me. You are among my favorites!
I LOVE how your hacks are not just hot glueing a bunch of crap from Dollar Tree and making a thing you could just buy for the same price and that doesn't even really solve a problem. Rarely do I see a hack with hot glue and Dollar Tree items that are brilliant, but usually they're fun crafting projects more than they are functionally innovative home hacks. It is so refreshing watching your videos. Thank you!!!
I used to put that blue toilet cleaner stamp at the back of the toilet bowl close to the water line as a "target " for my boys. It worked great for helping them learn to aim better.😂
This is a great idea but teach them to sit whenever possible as it makes for a more sanitary bathroom and is a better health issue. See Men's Health and long-term bladder and prostate health.
Fabulous finds! I’m so pleased that I’m not the only one who cleans my bathroom counter, sink and toilet everyday. The floor gets hoovered every day as well, steam cleaned every other day. Makes life so much easier.
Baby oil for shinning Stainless steel. Then take a clean microfiber towel and clean off the streaks off. (Shine) and it's a cheap product and smells great 😊
Andrea, you make my Sundays brighter, I look forward to your videos every week. Not only do you critique these items, you demonstrate how they work or don't work down to the smell...LOL leaves me wishing I lived next door. You are a beautiful person with a very unique way to spread the love! You are a welcome commodity in these stressful times we're living in.
I don't remember what video you talked about those Nano cloths for stainless steel but I did finally buy them and OMG I was able to clean all my stainless in my kitchen in less than 5 minutes!❤❤❤
Great home hacks! I just discovered your videos, and I appreciate how you discuss the scent of the products you test. As someone who loves scent, but also has migraines, that’s very important to me.
Since I know you, I’m able to make space and get rid of unused stuff. I love your personality and I’m able to decorate with your help. I appreciate everything I’m learning from you and I thank you for everything. God bless you!☺️☺️😘😘
Hi🙂 The best way to clean stainless steel is hot soapy water. Scrub down everything and rinse. Absolutely must dry, as quickly as possible. Viola! Looks amazing everytime. Thanks for your information. I do use many of your suggestions. 😉👍❤
I love the Weiman wipes. Can do all my appliances and it does leave product streaks behind cause it has lots of product on one wipe so I just use a cloth or paper towel to buff it snd it’s perfect!
Pledge furniture polish and a micro fiber towel for my stainless steel appliances. I was told that when I bought my SS refrigerator and it has worked great!
Take a few disinfecting wipes along when you travel. Give your tray table a quick clean as soon as you settle into the plane, since those trays are notoriously filthy. Also good for cleaning remotes in hotel rooms, also a source of germs and they're never cleaned. They come in handy for many other things, too when you travel.
Andrea Jean I bought two of the under the shelf egg holders from DT hoping to save space in my refrigerator. I ran into the same problem with the shelves being curved at the end and not fitting.
I put Baby oil on a cotton ball and clean off the top of my Candles that I'm keeping for God knows what but it will get off dust and make it all shiny.. Appreciate all your work lady 💜
I realized I have a shower/ tub hack for you for super easy cleaning. Every time I shower, I wash one wall, and include under my feet as a wall. So every time I shower, I rotate washing a wall (using a dish scrubber wand, the kind with bristles so you can fill up the soap in the handle, and a small Dawn bottle from the dollar store. I dedicate a tiny shelf for cleaning the tub, which makes it quick and easy to do while you’re waiting for that conditioner in your hair to do the 2 to 5 minute thing). When it comes to doing chores, with my aching body, I have a lot of trouble doing so. However, I do try to do my part. Plus, I dye my hair, wild colors, living my best life in San Francisco in the 50+ range.
I clean my stainless with straight hydrogen peroxide- a house cleaner showed me this trick maybe 20 years ago- just put a spray nozzle into the peroxide bottle (I now put a couple of drops of lemon eo ) it works really well
I like to store my eggs in the carton they come in. It works great and they are stackable. I have never figured out why one would unpack their eggs and repack them in a similar container.
I know I'm late to hacks & tricks. It's a raining Sunday in So. CA late January, 2024. I'm inspired by your energy. My 2024 resolution is self care. Cleaning & condo organizing is right up there with skin routines, exercise, dance class. What I remember most: the powerwash solution on everything, the Dollar Tree bins, cubes, Stayway stainless steel, BarKeepers Friend, Lysol Toilet, disinfecting wipes, 😆my timer, white vinegar, E6000 for DIY. Clearly, I'm viewing videos back 2 front--that's why I'm tardy--don't send me to detention! TY 4 clarifying what works from Amazon, what works from Dollar. 🏄🏽 Love vertical stacking, what to stash under sinks. I keep bins near all closets to toss gently used, hardly ever worn, laundered jackets, clothes, platform shoes 🤣 As they fill, I toss contents into garbage bags. Off I go to local Women's Shelter for drop off. Chaos is being conquered in my crib! I'm motivated. TY 4 showing me an easier life. Andrea Jean, sending sunshine your way. 🐣& to this community, much ❤for helpful comments.
For makeup brush cleaning: Wet brushes, then use a small amount of shampoo to clean, rinse with water and gently scrub until water runs clear. Lay on dry wash cloth or towel to dry .
Happy Sunday gorgeous genius lady ❤ I have that egg holder 😅 I actually use the zep spray on clothes before washing it works great 😅 I use those mini green containers for sugar packs and teas. Those clear ones don’t hold up in my fridge but you can attached to those cloth organizers 😅 why don’t you live close to me 😅 thank you for sharing these awesome tips hacks ideas etc have a wonderful week ❤🌈🦋🌞
I used so many stainless steel cleaners all of them streaked. Then I discovered Dawn power wash and the dollar store mop. Saves my back and no streaks. I now make my own power wash still works better then anything! The trick is use only a tiney little bit! Powerwash works better then anything. I use it in my bathroom. I use it for oven cleaner. It is the bomb!
Love the magnet trick! It's also great for making word magnets for my 90% non-verbal autistic grandson to practice talking. I used your tip of putting items in a long container for under the bathroom sink and next up I'm going to do the same for my kitchen sink. Looks much nicer and it's more functional. 😊
The products made for makeup brushes have been so helpful for my paintbrushes. I have paintbrushes from when I was a kid and some that were super expensive. I take good care of them but appreciate the brush drying suction cup thing, and now this watermelon brush cleaner.
@AndreaJean I love the plastic containers to store tea bags! However, it is better to store any kind of berry - strawberries & raspberries, in this video - in glass Mason jars. Makes them stay fresh LITERALLY MORE THAN TWICE AS LONG!!💯💯‼️ Try it! I was amazed when I did!! Now I will do NOTHING ELSE. 👏🏻👏🏻🤓
We have the same fridge. I put lazy Susan. Cause hubby always asks me where stuff is . But it is just the two of us. I love the egg storage for the spot under the ice maker 😊
Makeup cleaning watermelon 🍉 has suction cups on back to use in your sink. Just wash brush with baby shampoo & rinse under water. A lot less mess! I use a diffuser that came with a blow drier as an add on tool. I put the diffuser over my heating/cooling vent on my floor. Shake out my brush & lay it on the diffuser overnight. Dries by morning!
To make any old stainless steel look beautiful, clean it with Bar Keepers, a magic eraser and then dry it with a paper towel really good, next take a clean dry paper towel and put a tiny amount of baby oil on it and rub it in to the stainless and buff with another dry paper towel. And viola! No more water stains and it's all shiny! I did this for years in my cleaning service.
I love your videos and now. Didn’t know everything I needed to do to clean efficiently until I found your hacks and Jillee hacks. Now I am on a roll but need more decluttering and how to let go of things. I’m watching this about 2:30 am and I think it showed some of your video 2:04 twice and maybe more. Thanks. TNJaniceRN
Hi. Excellent vids that I tend to binge watch😂. As for makeup brushes, I pile them into a square plastic pan and squeeze my shampoo over them, add warm water and let them soak for a while. Then rinse off well, stand them up in a glass to dry and done. Have a lovely day.
Try 8 Oz alcohol, 8 Oz of water and 40 drops of essentials oil ❤which you can get a dollar store. Use on window stainless steel ànd bathrooms smell great and cleans everything 😊
The best best best stainless steel cleaner I have found is called Sheila shine. It's a liquid but it does not streak and ya done have to rub and buff constantly. My stainless never looked so wonderful. Look it up, you won't be disappointed! Thanks for the hacks ❤

I think my hubby uses it as target practice wherever it goes!!, Men can't help themselves!! 😂
that's a great idea. I raised boys and it was tough lol

Your Dollar Tree is a whole lot nicer than the ones near me in PA! We don’t have the pricier sections
A dry microfiber cloth sprayed with Dawn Power Wash and no rinsing worked great on stainless steel appliances 😊

Baby oil works also on the sink , microwave, frig
When it comes to the bathroom and kitchen, I'm OCD about cleaning.
I lift up the toilet seat caps, and then spray bleach on the toilet, shower stall, sink.
Then I use a toothbrush on the toilet, around the faucets of the sink and shower faucet.
Wipe everything down then use furniture polish on the hardware, the toilet tank and outside the bowl.
I finish with the floor.
Same thing with the kitchen.
Love your reviews, just a little comment, the toilet gel cleaner, you still have to brush whit the toilet brush, I used and it works good, ❤❤
Scentsy counter clean works so well on stainless steel with no greasy film it also comes in so many great scents. No I don’t sell Scentsy. But I use it on my stainless steel all the time. You could put beans or rice half full in the small bins and stick makeup brushes in it.
❤️❤️
What about mini Easter baskets with those instead of fruits?
I have to say I have been opening a window and polishing and cleaning my SS with wd40 for years. Then occasionally I will alcohol wash ss fridge every now and then if build up occurs
You know about the stove burner covers, well I made a cover for the whole top of the stove and for this apartment it gives me more counter space
Baby oil for stainless steel works great and smells nice.

I bought these sponges and I'm not going to tell you how many I bought but I stocked up!😂😂😂

Just plain old ammonia works well on cleaning stainless steel. That's what we used at the YWCA. I think it can be "sudsy ammonia".
