- Polls show a lot of support among Canadians for reexamining, and perhaps even ending, our relationship with the monarchy. This is clearly an opportunity to do something. But what does that something actually entail?

This Sounds Like A Call To Violence.
Yes it should leave.
Simply because it’s arbitrary.
Realistically all of it

Canada should leave the monarchy it is horrible

Money if it don't have dead PM like US currency I would that and ditch the looney ,tooney and bring back paper like it was in 1969.Canadain republic here. .

Don't see much benefit in becoming closer to America. It's part of our heritage and even a draw for tourists. Seriously, it's like renaming the divisions in hockey, just dumbing everything down unnecessarily. Smythe division is way cooler than the Pacific or Atlantic division. I swear, some of you won't be happy until we rename the Stanley cup the Crypto Currency of the Week cup. Being part of the commonwealth is a plus and our heritage. Move if you don't like it, you always 'threaten' to do that anyway.
